Hi I’m hoping for some advice this is my second pregnancy ( first ended in mmc at 9 weeks baby stopped growing at 7)

Last night I had the most severe cramps - worse then period pains on and off for only 5 minutes. Not had any blood or anything but I’m now concerned this could be a miscarriage about to start.

Has anyone had anything similar and things turned out to be ok? 🙁

hey Nat. I am really sorry you are worried. At this gestation cramps are normal for many women and all should be fine. You can have an early private scan or speak to your local EPU to see what they suggest. Out of my three pregnancies, the only one I had severe cramps which was breathtaking painful, it ended in a mc sadly.

Yes - I had bad cramping in both my successful pregnancies, at various points throughout the first trimester. I think there is are various hormonal changes happening which can cause cramps.

Interestingly it didn't really happen in my mc x 3.

Sorry about your mc, it does makes subsequent pregnancies really stressful.
