What was your baby's weight at 30-31 weeks

I had a scan yesterday afternoon due to reduce movements and baby's measurements and estimated weight for gestation is putting baby at 3lbs 15oz, I'm currently 30+5 weeks.

I have two more growth scans over the course of the next few weeks, but I was just wondering how much your babies weighed around this time?

I asked a midwife after the scan if that weight seemed like a lot, but she told me it's 78th percentile so is 'fine'. After browsing on google and dipping in and out of some other forums, I can't help but feel like this estimated weight is huge as other women seem to be saying their babies were/are around 3lbs at this gestation.

I know they are just estimates and can be way out, but I can't shake the feeling that almost 4lbs a few days before 31weeks is a lot?

My first baby was 7.7lbs when he was born but I didn't have extra scans with him so not entirely sure how much he was weighing in the last few weeks of the third tri.

I had a scan just before 30 weeks and mine was estimated at 3.1

I wouldn't 100% believe it as I know many women who have said their babies weight has been under / overestimated. I had a friend who last minute discovered her baby was over 10ibs and had to have a c section and I know women that were told their babies were going to be massive and they were under 8ibs!

Don't regard it as law just keep in mind it's an estimate and things will go well regardless of baby's weight

I'm not worried as such, the weight of the baby be it small or big is obviously totally out of my control.
I guess it just took me aback a little as I'm having additional growth scans due to pressure on a uterine artery, which has been linked with growth restrictions and smaller babies, so when I saw that we're fast approaching 4lbs with 9 weeks to go I was a bit shocked.

Hopefully they do have the weight wrong as I'm aiming to try for a VBAC this time around and obviously don't want my first experience of a vaginal birth to be with a huge baby! 😂😩

I was 2.64kgs (so 5.8) at 34 weeks. They recon at my due date she would be 4kgs (8.8). I’m currently a week overdue with no signs of her budging so who know how big she’ll be when she comes out!
As PP said it’s all an estimate. I know someone who was induced early due to the babies size (over 10lb) and the baby only ended up being 7lb6oz.

I had a scan at 28+5 and the estimated weight was 3lb 2. Had one yesterday at 36+5 and estimated at 6lb 15 which apparently is below 90th percentile. It doesn't sound that big to me - but that's because I'm being induced at 38 weeks and all the babies in my family are massive so I think I have a warped view Grin

I was exactly 30 weeks, and measuring 30 weeks. Got checked due to being in a accident and baby going quiet for 24 hours after. Baby was estimated at 2lbs 8oz. I was told that while the weight was under that expected (3 - 3 & 1/2 lbs) they weren't concerned as scans can be slightly off. Xxx

Mine were born at 31 weeks and were 3lb1 and 3lb3 which was apparently a good weight for gestational age if that helps st all.

I have just been for a 30 weeks scan. I am 30 weeks 1 day and my baby is 2lbs 15oz. Is this small but within average percentile?

My scan at 31+4 measured baby as 4lb 15oz ! Confused So a bit ahead of yours gestation wise but I also have gestational diabetes which made him grow bigger than usual for that age
