Baby jogger and maternity coat in London

Hi all, I'm 16 weeks pregnant and going to London next week for an exam (and some shopping!)

I need a pregnancy coat, as mine won't fasten anymore, tried a few small shops in my home city (H&M, new look and JoJo) but all look awful or are very expensive.

Also looking at getting the baby jogger GT as all my friends have ended up swapping to that from other prams and recommend it. Would prefer somewhere that has it in stock so I can have a play with it

Can anyone suggest shops in central London for either of these items? Google suggests John Lewis in Oxford Street for the baby jogger, but not many other places. I've got limited time so want to aim for the right shops!

Thanks for any help

The shops are pretty much the same as far as maternity clothes go. There's not a huge variety. You can try Seraphine but that's no cheaper than JoJo.

One store is probably fine for a pram. The fancy ones are the same price in all stores, so I doubt you'll save by shopping around. The baby jogger website has a list of all their London suppliers, so you should start there.

John Lewis seems to be the only option (apart from a shop called tiny feet) on the baby jogger website, just wondered if anyone knew where the biggest selection was (eg there's 2 John Lewis, Oxford Street and Sloane Square, and would like to avoid going to both!)

John Lewis on Oxford St is enormous so I would suggest there. You could give the branch a call first and check they have it in stock - I did that when shopping for a different brand.

When it comes to buying the pram, it would be worth shopping around online. I saved on my iCandy by doing that.

The maternity range in New Look Oxford Circus is pretty good, my coat is from there and not expensive. The big H&M is also worth a look. The maternity clothes there are in the kids department.

The pram section in John Lewis oxford street is pretty impressive and the most comprehensive I’ve seen in London. You could also see if you can book a “walk through” which goes through everything you need for a new arrival.
Personally I like topshop maternity clothes the best. As a rule of thumb maternity clothes are pretty shocking most places (I didn’t suddenly become obsessed with pastels and floral print as soon as I become preggers) so what I did was buy a lot of H&M basic range which pulled comfortably over the bump and bought a normal jacket that went over the bump.

Fab thanks, I'll try those places!
