Anyone induced early with first baby but not second?

I was induced at 39+2 with my first baby due to my general crappy health at the time. I had gestational diabetes, polyhydramnios, sciatica, the list goes on. This time I'm 29 weeks and feeling good (touch wood). No diabetes atm, sciatica is bearable and I'm only borderline anaemic. Obviously there's still time for me to start to feel unwell but I don't think I'll need to be induced at the minute.

Has anyone got any similar experience? Am I likely to need more monitoring because of my previous problems or not unless it's needed?

I'm assuming you're being monitored for GD this time? If so, and you're all clear, there's no reason why you would need to be induced.

I had a prior EMCS for failed inductionand was high risk. I'm high risk this time but consultant has said she's happy to monitor and see and if I'm able I'll have a VBAC but if not we'll head straight to ELCS.

I think pregnancies are treated individually so if this one is going well no need to think an induction is on the cards.

I've had the glucose test and that came back ok. I was high risk the first time but there's no concerns with this one so far. I found being induced really long and painful so I'm hoping to not need it this time

Sounds positive! Good luck - hope you don't need it and that the rest of your pregnancy is straightforward.
