Anyone else have/had a “teardrop” kind of shaped bump? Getting worried that I look like a freak and my bump isn’t cute and round.

Midwife says everyone carries differently. Not helpful.

Looks perfectly normal to me. Your very petite so your bump looks amazing 😜 enjoy it as my bump at 31 weeks is somewhat larger and in the way 😜 I'll add a picture today

I think it's lovely OP.
Enjoy it whilst you can! For what it's worth, I was a size 8/10 pre-pregnancy, and until I was about 7.5 months I just looked fat! Not pregnant at all. Until one day, it seemed like I woke up and suddenly looked pregnant.... With triplets haha!
I was as big as a house, it was unreal.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Thank you for the reassurance 😊It’s my first pregnancy getting this far along so I’m a bit paranoid about it all. Doesn’t help when people chime in with their opinions that I don’t look 29w or I don’t look properly pregnant Confused

That's a lovely bump! Are you quite tall?

scarlett a real bump unlike mine that seems to be down around my hips?!

I’m 5”5-5”6 captains is that what’s making the difference? Midwife did say taller women have smaller bumps as there’s more room for baby to grow and move around but I’m not that tall.

Ahh no it's lovely and I wouldn't worry at all, I'm a similar build to you and with my first I had no bump for a long time, and then when I finally did get one it was like yours. Given the size of my bump I thought I was having this tiny baby so bought loads of tiny baby clothes. I was rather surprised when she was born a solid 7lbs 8ozs and didn't fit any of the clothes I took to the hospital Blush

Now 32wks with no 3, I feel huge this time.

Ah Again see I prefer yours! My MIL says I’m carrying high lol, I just know it feels like half a medicine ball stuck on my waist 😂

I guess we’re all different, do you know if it’s a girl or a boy? There’s some old wives tale about carrying them differently I think...

Your midwife is right, everyone carries differently. You're very slim so all that's showing is your uterus growing upwards, you don't have fat padding making it rounder. If your only worry is your bump not looking round and "cute" wear looser clothes and forget about it and other people's opinions.

My bump is like this, and was like it with my first. I just carry low instead of high and round, so I kinda look like I've eaten too much cake for the first 2 trimesters 😂

I carried low too. Lovely bump!

Thanks for the reassurance everyone! I just feel so misshapen and odd.

scarlett having a girl but I had read boys sit low and girls are high! My obstetrician says that’s all rubbish anyway and actually depends on your abdominal wall and pelvis position or something.

Btw I carried extremely low with my 2 girls and high with my boy.

5'9" and My bump looked flat where it should have been rounded for weeks from 22 weeks until maybe 31 weeks? Im now 35 and it's suddenly really popped out. Not the belly button though. Mine doesn't seem to be sticking out like everyone else's I know...

That sould also have said that that's my bump when it was the weird flat shape. Dont have a more recent one... never got round to it but I can breathe in still to look less pregnant that that photo. No idea if that's good or bad but there we go.

No pic from me but at 27 weeks I look like i'm due now! Enjoy your lovely neat bumps.

I'm all front this time. Last time DD1 sat further back and lower down.

deaddoor thanks for sharing your bump pic!

I guess as long as she is moving and wriggling and growing I should be ok. I still feel like I look like an utter oddball though...!

Ffs you don't, you're giving it way more thought than anybody else ever will. You need to google some pregnant bumps or something and see how they vary, just like breasts, bums, etc.

How is the midwife saying everyone carries differently 'not helpful'? It's just the truth. You seem hellbent on thinking it's a weird bump but it's really not. You look great, you mad carrot Wink

Omg I thought I was the only one that worried about this! Lol my bump is teardrop shaped as well and it frustrated me that it wasn’t round but instead of feeling self conscious, I’m trying to be happy about the fact that it’s a nice home for my daughter Smile
