So this is a completely TMI subject but I’d like people’s suggestions lol

Basically, I shave my lady parts about once a week but as my stomach is getting bigger, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to the point that I think today may have been my last shave!
What would you suggest is the best hair removal for pregnancy? I’ve heard the waxing hurts even more due to the extra nerves?

What do you all do?

Can't you just leave it?
Waxing hurts a lot less than childbirth!Grin

I had a full leg and bikini wax at 38 weeks. Didn't hurt anymore than normal.

Waxing doesn't hurt unless you're a wuss

Plus - no stubble!

I wax regularly and I got a wax at 37 weeks. My skin was really sensitive during pregnancy tho and it was more sensitive to the waxing.

I would not recommend waxing for the first time in late pregnancy. If you normally wax then get it done but be careful you can be more sensitive to the treatment.

I used to get my legs and brows waxed but the past few years I’ve just shaved!
I’ve never had a bikini wax and am a little nervous tbh lol! Might have to just go for it.
I can’t bare the thought of letting everything grow out lmao

I had a bikini wax at 16 weeks was absolutely fine then I went back last week at 39 weeks and she could only do a bit of one side before I had to stop her it was unbearable! Definitely more sensitive

I bought a lady shave and used that with the guard on. Just kept everything under control

Same, and I hate waxing down there, I'm such a wuss 🙈

I've started using my OHs trimmer with the guard on so I don't need to see what I'm doing. Apparently it looked a bit like it was done by a blind barber (thanks!) but it's better than an out-of-control jungle 😂😂

I use a razor that has a mini shaver the other end and use a mirror to see as I can not see past my bump ha ha it works

I got my DH to hold a mirror for me soon could do mine last night 😂 he looked horrified at the fact that I just seemed to 'go for it' when he was expecting me to be gentle... first time I've ever nicked myself down there though so I'm blaming him as he was the one holding the mirror. Normally I'm all good without it so his fault for distracting me 😂😂
I am just leaving it to grow out now though. I'm going to regret it but I honestly don't think I could be bothered now I'm just shy of 35 weeks. It's something for me to look forward to after the birth. That nice clean feeling down there...
(Also can't wax because ive got ridiculously sensitive skin and seem to be allergic to the waxes. Oh well)

Omg I couldn’t imagine letting my husband shave me or help me shave!! Haha
I’d be soooo embarrassed! (Also I don’t think he’d do it right lol)

I get DH to do it with his beard trimmer. Can't imagine getting waxed now - too painful. Still managing to shave my legs while sitting on a plastic stool in bathtub.

I just know if I let DP near me with a trimmer he’d shave a pattern or something just for fun (his fun I wouldn’t find it funny)

I wet myself laughing when my hubby did it. He was panicking that he might Nick me lol. Every little he shaved he was like omg am I hurting you. Haha.. it was nice not having to do it and be uncomfortable..
Can't understand why anyone would be embarrist to let there dh do it. They've been down there before and going to see a baby come from it lol... Smile

I use a mirror to See what I'm doing and just apply veet to the whole area and take it all off. I'm almost 40 weeks and can still manage ok. I don't like the idea of being unkempt down there, especially with the amount of lochia I had last time.

owltrousers · 13/10/2017 16:23

I lean a little mirror up somewhere and kind of lift my leg and look into the mirror and do it that way... if that makes sense?

Sakura03 · 13/10/2017 22:13

Lady shaver and then check in the mirror. Easy!

I’ll try a mirror next time! If I weren’t so worried about my DH doing it wrong I’d probably just give up and let him aha
