My stomach is constantly rumbling and it actually feels so uncomfortable, I try my hardest to eat 3 meals a day as well as a few snacks and drink aswell but I really really have no interest at the moment, I just feel like even looking at food makes me feel sick, my midwife tested my wee and told me that my body is starving and I need to eat more than I am but I'm really struggling, I'm literally forcing food down purely for the baby, this never happened in my past two pregnancies, has anyone else experienced this? I no i need to give my body more for the baby's development but I feel like its impossible feeling the way I do, I genuinely have No appetite, I'm scared my baby might end up with something rong and itl be my fault. I take a pregnacare vitamin every day to help as advised by my midwife. But midwife says to try eat 6 small meals a day plus snacks !! Like how on earth ? I'm so worried I'm not giving myself enough. Any one got any advice or have they experienced this? X

I feel your pain! Just try your best to eat little and often, don't think about 3 meals then snacks. I can't manage a full plate of anything and I'm finding it way easier to take a few mouthfuls of some thing then try again in a while. I know it's really hard but you do need to eat or you will feel worse. I've discovered chilled custard today! And rice pud I can handle too. Flat sprite also hitting the spot today and I'm going to try some choc milk in a bit.

Thank you for your advice, is so weird because I used to be able to clear my plate lol but with the pregnancy it's no happening at all! I love food usually and at the moment I just can't stand it, it's such a horrible feeling, I'm going to just try eat few small meals a day and still take my vitamin too, I just hope this passes and I get my appetite back soon 🤞🏼 I no this is probably more comman than I think but I just worry so much. I'm 15 weeks currently and i feel so weak and tired, I really need my appetite back x

You will find yourself eating random things lol. Try some toast for now. Either dry or better with a little butter and jam for calories and energy. What about some cereal with a little milk?

I have been eating a piece of toast with butter but cannot stomach the cereal, i feel like no food could appear appetising right now, not even my usual favourite foods :(

What about trying things you wouldn't usually go for - I've turned into the blandest, slowest eater in the last few weeks - tonight we were having stir fry and I managed plain rice and some veg without sauce. Takes me ages to eat a meal at the moment. Melon has been good, toast & banana, dry crackers & sometimes a bit of cheese. Hope it passes soon for you. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water though.

I get this too, it's so annoying! I just eat little but often. Some days I can eat more than other days. I wake up in the night with my belly rumbling and sometimes have a snack in the night.

For now just eat what you can tolerate. Main thing is to keep eating. I've had to park the idea of eating healthy for now to get calories in!
Slow eater here aswell, chew everything thoroughly. Finding that helps. Today I've managed 2 portions of pasta, 2 wee pots of custard with spoon of Apple sauce, some waivers and just after some rice pud with peach slices. That's a lot for me in one day compared to this last week.
And don't drink with your food. Take fluids in between meals. Finding this helps too.
