Hi - I've just found out I'm about 6 weeks pregnant and in an ideal world I'd have lost some of this excess weight before conceiving. It happened more quickly than I expected and I think I needed the kick up the bum to get really serious about my diet. To put it in context I'm more than a couple of stones overweight so I'm not just being fussy.
I've read of people losing/not gaining weight during pregnancy to maximise health for themselves and their baby - I'd like to know if anyone else has done this or is in the position of wanting to do this? Or has links to resources on what the best approach is to be as healthy as possible? Or just to have a chat about how it's going for them?
Thanks!

Anyone up for a chat about weight loss/maintenance in pregnancy?
