Had one last week which appears to have done diddly squat. Any likelihood this one will be any different. 40+3 now sad

My second one did the trick!

Oh Jellybaby, I keep ending up on your threads. You sound so fed up. I'm in for first today and midwife hasn't turned up. They're trying to track her down.

I really hope the second one works for you today.

Oh that's not good 10storey. Yeah just bored and desperate now lol. Best of luck for you today xx

I hope you have more luck than me. Waited over 2 hours to be told I may as well go home as doesn't look like midwife is coming...

I know someone who swears she has induced all of her own labours with nipple tweaking.

15 mins on each side and she swears by 45 minutes she was in labour with both children.

I did do it with DC2, my waters broke and he had pooed so not sure if that's related and obviously that's not ideal. I was just about to be sent home after a failed induction though so was quite pleased that at least he would have to come that day.

Just had home visit from midwife who agreed to sweep. As soon as she started she said that head was really low down, cervix was soft and 2-3 cm dilated. She seemed quite hopeful that it would work and told me to ring hospital as soon as contractions started due to how low down the head ways

Feel like im living this with you both jelly and 10storey only 39 weeks but not meant to be going to term. Had sweep 1 on fri and the midwife cancelled my wed sweep as Im consultant led she thinks I will just be induced on fri at my next apt but i was hoping sweep 2 would prevent induction 😭 have you had any signs yet either of you?

I've been having tightenings all afternoon but they're not painful. Just waiting to see if they progress at all...

Mrsknackered Tue 26-Sep-17 19:06:12

Honestly try the nipples!

10storeylovesong Tue 26-Sep-17 19:31:46

I have! Plus spicy food, RLT, pineapple, lots of walking, bouncing on ball, "rotate to dilate"...

Jellybabie3 Tue 26-Sep-17 19:32:07

Yep me too!

Jellybabie3 Tue 26-Sep-17 19:32:31

Rotate to dilate - that on the ball??

ImogenTubbs Tue 26-Sep-17 19:34:12

Second one worked for me too. She was born that evening in a couple of hours. Good luck!

thesleepsheep Tue 26-Sep-17 19:36:46

Nipple tweaking worked for me. Made my waters break.

10storeylovesong Tue 26-Sep-17 19:41:41

On all fours rotating hips in clockwise direction

10storeylovesong Tue 26-Sep-17 19:43:50

Any signs jellybaby?!

Jellybabie3 Wed 27-Sep-17 07:06:53

Been having period cramps for 2 and half weeks and most nights wake up woth false 'contractions' so i guess painful bh's which will last for anything up to 6 hours. Literally doing me in as i end up so tired and it just stops angry. I have tried all the tricks now. Off to mw this afternoon so keep fx for me please. I really want this baby in September!! 40+4 today.

10storeylovesong Wed 27-Sep-17 07:58:35

Well I don't think that my sweep has worked. Hours of BH and cramps have faded away to nothing.

Jellybabie3 Wed 27-Sep-17 08:01:57

Oh i am sorry storey. How far gone are you?

Jellybabie3 Wed 27-Sep-17 09:47:23

I'm so nervous 😓

Littlekezza Wed 27-Sep-17 09:50:59

How are thiings going girls? I feel like everyone's popping off in labour and I'm sat here like hmm

10storeylovesong Wed 27-Sep-17 11:56:38

Good luck jellybaby - I really hope it works for you this time! Got everything crossed.

I'm 39+3 so not as far along as you, but feeling pretty desperate already. I've had a lot of thick yellow discharge tinged with blood today - not sure whether that's my plug? And even if it is, whether that means anything? Felt so positive after midwife yesterday and now feel like it could be ages again.

I've got my first sweep this afternoon and I'm getting quite nervous about it. I just don't like the idea of the midwife putting her hand up there! I know that's silly as I'll be having this baby in a few days whatever happens, but I feel like I won't mind so much in labour as the pain/adrenaline etc will see me through whereas today I think I'll just feel a bit... exposed. I just hope it works!

Littlekezza Wed 27-Sep-17 13:07:20

Jellybabie3 how are you doing hoping your finally in labour!
Storey were not having much luck 5hese September babies want to be born in October*
