Movements at 20 weeks

Been able to feel movements for well over a week now, but since yesterday and today I've not felt anything near as much?

Am I over reacting as the baby is still so small? Just got fairly used to a lot more movements than I'm getting.

Hi, I'm 20+2 today. Some days I feel tons of movements and some days (today) I just feel flutters. From what I have read this is totally normal. I don't think the baby's establish a proper pattern for another few weeks yet.

Ring your midwife as soon as just to check. They'd much rather you ring and them tell you its all ok than leave it too late in case anythings wrong. Its probably all fine but better to be safe than sorry and it will put your mind at rest

There really are quiet days and less quiet days, especially when you've been busy or distracted, it's still normal to not feel much at all those days at this point. You should feel something, but less is still normal. I've felt movement since 11 weeks and I definitely have quiet days. After 28 weeks they tend to be more cautious about regular movements. I would just make sure you feel something even if it's less.

Today I've only had a few pokes and prods, it's just because I've become quite used to feeling it move about now. I'll ring in the morning.

I downloaded a free app on my phone called KicksCount. Essentially you monitor baby's movements and log them (not as long- winded as it sounds). It gives you an indication of movement patterns and it's helped me feel a lot more in control - allowing me to notice he has 2 busy days followed by a quiet one and so on.
I'd definitely recommend it for the future for you, but in the meantime I'd err on the side of caution and give your midwife a call.
Good luck OP x

I had this same situation at exactly 20 weeks, I'd got used to regular kicks and then suddenly there was an abnormally quieter day, where I felt barely anything. I rang the midwife and she said I needed to find the courage to 'sit it out' as it was too early to get worried at days like that. Nearly went to hospital that evening, still worried, but then baby started up again. The next day was back to normal.
Having said that... don't take anyone else's advice on this situation. Always do what you think is right based on your baby. But it will most like be a 'growing' day where baby is having some chill time whilst it has a spurt!

Try eating something sugary - this usually wakes baby up and gives them some energy to move about so will you reassure you. Use sparingly tho! They may get you to do it as your scan If the baby is in an awkward position.

WOuld just like to say all is well and I had my anomaly scan today and it turns out baby just prefers to lie with his back to my belly button so I can't feel anything.
