Baby’s movements

Hi

I think I’m getting super paranoid. Im 31 weeks and I’m constantly looking out and worrying about my baby’s movements.

I feel him every day and quite a lot through the day, yet if I suddenly start waiting for him to move I start to panic, even tho I probably felt him 20minutes ago!!

Is it just me?

Definitely not just you!

Have you tried tracking movements, so you can see the pattern? I've downloaded the kicks count app, it's quite reassuring to look and and realise every day has more or less the same pattern!

Haha no, not just you. I think that's pretty normal. But the watched and pot never boils! I also usually felt my baby quite a bit throughout the day so I'd try not to set definitive times when I HAD to check she was moving. Too stressful. That said, if a few hours went by and I suddenly thought "hmm, I haven't noticed any kicks in a while", I'd sit down (or lie down!) with a book and a cold glass of juice for half an hour and typically she'd perform after a few minutes.

Odds are if you've made it to 31 weeks your baby is just fine. It's normal to feel some stress, especially about a first, but try not to let too much anxiety creep in during those quiet moments... enjoy them while you have them!

No I don’t have the app I keep thinking about downloading it.
I still tend to feel the bigger movements at night and I kind of know a pattern.

Glad it’s not just me 🙈

Not just you, I'm 34 weeks and worry like crazy. Especially when I'm busy at work! Like you I tend to feel bigger movements at night. I keep trying to tell myself not to worry but totally know how you feel Smile
