Last night in bed I was lay on my back and my cat jumped from the ground and landed all 4 paws where my baby is sitting (spot where the did u/s) it didn’t really hurt but gave me a shock obviously don’t know whether to seek medical advice or will the midwifes just laugh at me! On know I the u/s they pressed pretty hard so surely it’s similar? I’m 13 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Any help appreciated. Thank you

Your baby is well protected in there and a cat isn't very heavy. If you're worried though there's no harm calling your midwife for a bit of reassurance.

Your baby will be fiiiiine, but I know that feeling! Every little bump to the bump when you're pregnant feels like a massive shock. I suppose making us more sensitive to such things is our bodies way of making us more protective over bump

I was about 6 months pregnant when my two year old jumped onto my bump. During a swim session - I was in a pool and she jumped in from the side, so sort of on top of it. I was worried but it was fine.

I know a cat seems heavy, but as you say no more pressure than the ultrasound scanner. I don't think anyone will think you stupid for asking for reassurance.

The exact thing happened to me with my cat. Fat bastard that he is. Anyway, even though I'm Rh -be the hospital weren't at all bothered.

If you were further along you could monitor movements.

With my second, I did put a chair on a soft spot in the garden and fell off it and had to have an AntiD injection.

I fell over my cat, out the back door and landed partly on my bump (carrying a load of washing so couldn't put my hands out!)
I was Rh negative so needed anti d and went in so they could listen to heartbeat. Baby was fine. They are soooo well cushioned.
