No appetite!

I'm just 6 weeks pregnant and I have zero appetite. I don't feel sick (touch wood) but just can't bring myself to eat anything.

Is this normal?? Xx

It was normal for me. It happens to lots of women. I had no appetite at 5/6 weeks then at 6/7 weeks started throwing up everyday for 10 weeks. It's difficult to predict how you will feel next week. You might be absolutely fine!

@thingymaboob God I hope so, I just feel like I should eat something, not sure what though! Fingers crossed it passes quickly!

It's really normal. I weighed less at 30 weeks than I did when I conceived. My appetite disappeared completely. I looked like an apple on a stick by the end Grin

Try protein shakes if you can stomach them. Little and often through the day.

I've always been a fatty and loved my food.

For the first 3 months (5 months with my first) I had horrific morning sickness coupled with zero appetite. I think it can be considered normal for the freak show that is pregnancy.

You'll get to the good bit soon enough where going food shopping is incredible. I went this morning and basically anything I looked at that made my mouth water, I bought.

Try bland yet filling things like porridge, chicken and rice etc until you're craving custard creams and cheese.

Haha! Thank-you ladies! You've eased my nerves 😂

A few people have said that about food shopping @MotherOfTheBears I can't wait!!!

But I will try the bland foods see if that help and @RedStripeLassi I'll give the protein shakes a go as well 😊

I'm 5 weeks and have no appetite. Like you, I feel a bit concerned about it. I don't feel sick either, just not hungry at all. I had to force breakfast down me this morning.

My last pregnancy was the opposite, I was eating everything in sight from 4 weeks and couldn't get enough. Honestly never ate so much in my life.
So this seems very strange to me, but I hear that every pregnancy is different, so I'm sure theres nothing to worry about.

I lost almost a stone in the first 12 weeks as I was having to force myself to eat - I needed to eat almost constantly to prevent morning sickness - but I didn't fancy anything so was eating very little in total. Now the morning sickness has eased off (I'm 17+4) I'm back on track and having to be careful not to gain too quickly or too much!

Another one here who lost weight in the first trimester and didn't get much appetite back until 20-ish weeks. I kept quiet about it as it can sound like bragging when everyone else is either throwing up or craving odd things!

To begin with I just ate to schedule - 9am, 1pm, 6pm, I ate something, whether I was hungry or not. Fruit is easy, tinned beans, sandwiches, pasta with a tomato sauce. If I craved a burger/pizza, I ate it.

I'm now 37 weeks and still think I'm eating less than I did pre-preg - particularly things like crisps, which I could wolf down in family-size packs, hold no appeal now. I imagine I'll be down Tesco after the birth filling my boots though Grin.

As others have said, totally normal!

All i fancied was carbs, bread, plain rice and plain pasta for about 3 weeks!

Another thing I ate a lot of (because quick, filling, keeps in fridge) is supermarket tortellini with a bit of cheese or butter.
