What has been the hardest part of your pregnancy so far?

So I was wondering about this when talking to my pregnant friends the other day, comparing notes.

I'm only 14+4 so nothing too rocky yet. Worst thing I can say so far is the back pain in my tailbone, thats a fairly new one. I'm guessing the worst is still to come. Prepare me?

What has been the hardest part of your pregnancy so far?

Having my 4.5 year old daughter turn into a monster! ( to be fair 85% of the time she's brilliant but crikey the tantrums that she's started having are epic, roll on school in September.

Actually this pregnancy has been much easier than my first, I had horrible morning sickness and spd with her but this one I'm fine, apart from a humungous fibroid that has grown alongside the baby 🙄having a planned c section with this one so hope it's easier to recover than my 3rd degree tear and loss of blood with my first. I'm surprisingly laid back at this pregnancy but I think it's that you don't have much time to wallow or think when you have other kids.

Congratulations love x

For me, it was losing ability to comfortably do things i enjoyed such as gardening and having to ask DH to help

The worst part so far (33 weeks) was morning sickness, I had no energy and just didn't want to do anything and it got me really down.

Definitely the anxiety and small things that I normally wouldn't care about bothering me intensely for me.

Worst part of the last pregnancy for me (and this one too, although I'm only 8 weeks in) is the anxiety. I just can't seem to get it under control. By far the worst part - and I had terrible morning sickness and spd last time around!

I am 18 weeks pregnant with my second child and I was much sicker and more tired this time but the hardest thing for me has been how emotional I am. Its like my normal personality has been exaggerated by a million and I don't feel in control of my own emotions, its horrible!

Keeping up with DD (2.5)
Constipation (went the other way last time)
Revising for big work based exam at 36 weeks and trying to keep energy to actually study
Trying to avoid putting as much weight on as last time

The restless legs of a night when I'm trying to sleep and the endless cramps Sad

The four trans-Atlantic flights I took, they were exceedingly uncomfortable and exhausting, much worse than normal flight discomfort.

Other than that, I think I've been quite lucky. It's hard to have a back ache and be slower and more tired and to feel more clumsy, and not sleeping much is a drag, but I don't feel miserable so that's good.

The constant migraines.

I've been pretty well through my pregnancy, a little sickness but nothing too major. The worst part for me up to now (31wks) has been the constant panic about movement. Didnt feel anything for hours last weekend and got into a right panic. Cant wait for her to come out so I can stop worrying if she is OK x

I haven't suffered too many discomforts so far thankfully. The hardest thing was probably the general paranoia/uncertainty of the first trimester. And giving up booze has dampened my social life somewhat!

Honestly it was stopping smoking - I quit the minute I found out and didn't touch one throughout but there were times when it's all I craved.

Other than that crippling SPD from early on

I 100% agree with the lack of gin

Really bad aches and pains. Also my total lack of tolerance for the heat is doing me in!

I also agree that lack of gin is right up there!

The daily puking from 6-19 weeks and the 24/7 nausea that went with it. Still being unable to enjoy food now at 26 weeks. I miss healthy food!

I'm 28 weeks so probably worse to come but so far the constipation has been the worse physical, I'm feeling like I've been really lucky and felt great! However nothing could have prepared me for the emotional side, I cry at bloody anything, am in pure delight one moment then real misery the next, it's ridiculous!!

The loss of mobility with SPD. Simple things like getting out of bed are now monumental tasks. I am so grateful this is temporary but it has given me an insight into how some people live their lives every day and I truly feel for them.

The sickness and tiredness haven't been great, but I can just get on with them.

33 weeks here. Around 20 weeks I had a chest infection, coughed loads and some pregnancy hormone meant that as a result of the coughing I dislocated a few ribs...I had a sharp stabbing pain across my chest every time I coughed, for a week.

Thankfully it's been fine otherwise!

For me (now 20 weeks) it was the daily vomiting from 4-16 weeks, struggled to keep water down some days. Thankfully it's down to maybe once a day now, usually on an evening when I brush my teeth. Other than that the constipation, spotty face, migraines, food aversions (when usually I would eat anything and love to cook), heightened sense of smell.... I could go on! Roll on December with a massive deadline at work to get out the way before then, aaagggh! Smile

I'm 36 weeks, for me it's right now. I'm heavy, everything aches, I can't get comfy to sleep and baby's movements can be quite painful. Was the same with DD too. I do have easy early pregnancies though.

Pelvic pain for the last three weeks, I'm 29 weeks now. Honestly if I thought I would have this pain for my whole life I would think about jumping in front of a train!
