Just had my midwife appointment and got sent straight to hospital as they suspected my baby had gone breech! And she has I'm booked in for another scan tomo to see in a bit more detail! Has anyone else been in this position? She was head down last week!! How likely is it that she will turn and also any advice on the turning procedure would be appreciated xx

My baby was breech at 36, head down at 37, breech at 38. I had moxa treatment and used the spinning babies website and she was head down again by the time I went to have her turned. She did have a funny little shelf on her head where she'd been wedged underneath my ribs for so long! Good luck.

Mine was breech, try spinningbabies.com website, exercises to help turn baby. Mine turned in the end. Try not to worry you have a bit of time hopefully. Good luck

I gave birth to dd who was breech at 36 weeks. I was scheduled to go in for another scan the week after but never got that far.

Mine was breech at 36 week scan last week, having been head down previously. I reluctantly agreed to the 'manual turn' which was attempted today. It is one of the most distressing things I have ever been through and I would never consent to it again. It didnt work, I think my baby, at 37 weeks now, is too big to turn.

My advice is try to get them to turn naturally but think very carefully about whether you want the manual turn. I would say no. Good luck.

My first was breech and didn't turn - had a planned c-section at 39 weeks. C section was fine - recovery was long but okay.
Went on to have 2 vbacs.
All was fine - just wanted to share a positive experience of c section as a result of breech as I was upset at the time.

Thanks all for tips and advice I have one child already who was born vaginally with no issues so I'm not too fased about the c section it was just such a shock, I think I'd rather risk waiting for her to turn although I don't think she will now 😔 I didn't like the sound of manually turning it sounded distressing for baby and myself so thank you for sharing your experience! Hopefully I'll go for my scan tomo and she would of turnt but I won't hold my breath x
