Just found out i have a 2vessel umbilical cord and am now terrified something bad will happen to my baby girl, im even scared to write this incase people write of their bad experiences, has anyone else experienced this and how was they dealt with, my midwife said its a normal variant but will i need extra scans to monitor growth, i feel her move all the time and everything looks normal ... so far i know im probably being a div but just want some reassurance really as i dont have anyone to talk to about it apart from my partner but he never seems worried about anything. Thanks in advance xx

My sister had a two vessel cord when she was pregnant with my niece. My niece is now two years old and absolutely perfect!

One of the babies I carried and gave birth to as a surrogate had a 2 vessel cord, we didn't know until she was born, she was and still is otherwise healthy.
