Thanks for the new thread! Have spent most of today dry-heaving and crying and really bad TV. Delightful times! How's everyone else?

Thanks for the new thread.

I have my 20 week scan on Friday, I still haven't felt movement. I'm trying to stay calm and reassure myself that everything looked fine at our private 16 week scan.

Thanks for the new thread!

Sorry you're having a tough day Peach. :(

I have been optimistic today and done my self referral... hoping it doesn't tempt fate! But my booking wasn't until 11 weeks last time, and would rather get it in a bit sooner!

Placemarking! I've not posted much but am nearly 14 weeks now so feeling fairly positive (ish, sometimes).

I've also spent the day feeling absolutely horrendous and watching rubbish tv. Still have no idea who I ring tomorrow to speak to about this bleeding that I had. I don't have a number for my midwife so I guess I have to make a doctors appointment and thy will then refer me to the EPU?

Report
peachgreen · 25/06/2017 17:51

Thanks Utter and Unicorn - I don't mind having a sick day if everything's alright with my wee bean so I'm happy enough. :)

Pattern, I spoke to my GP on the phone who sorted an EPU referral for me the following morning - sometimes they do them same day too. Are you still bleeding?

Sock, isn't it quite normal not to feel movement until later on? Is it your first? My cousin has had a textbook easy pregnancy and didn't feel anything until 24 weeks. I'm sure everything is fine but sending you good thoughts anyway.

Thanks for the new thread, Say.
I've really struggled with nausea & tiredness this week and weekend. I'm taking it as a good sign & trying not to moan at DH too much.

Thanks for the thread!
I asked on the last one if those who had previously had a MMC were offered an early scan the next time? I had a MMC and wouldn't mind an early scan. Especially as my symptoms keep coming and going... Confused
I've also got period type pain tonight which is worrying me.

Report
theotherendofthesockportal · 25/06/2017 22:47

@mogulfield I had a mmc and didn't get offered an early scan. I paid for a private scan at 10 weeks as it was past the point where the pregnancy has gone wrong before although I did actually miscarry until 13 weeks. Paying for that private scan was worth every penny

Brenna24 · 25/06/2017 22:49

I was offered early scans afgter my first mc. I didn't even get time to take them up on it for mc 2 + 3. This time I am waiting for a bit. I had scans at 6+^ and 7+6 in the first pregnancy. Baby died at 8 weeks and I didn't find out until another scan at 10+1 for yet more bleeding and didn't lose it until 11+3. So scans that early would not reassure me in the slightest as I know you can have perfect size, growth and heartbeat and it means nothing.

Thanks ladies, il chat to my MW and see what she says, and what the NHS offer in my area. I'm in 2 minds about it, but at the moment I think anything that confirms that a baby is actually in there may help!

12+3 here, 12 week scan on weds - despite FOUR good scans I'm very apprehensive - does that ever go away??

Sock I'm sure I didn't feel DD moving until after my 20 week scan, maybe a few bubbles before then, sending you lots of positivity.

Pattern I hope you can get sorted out quickly today, I went through my GP with my first bleeding scare and he got me booked in for a early scan the next day. Sending hugs Flowers

Pattern I hope you are able to get seen. How are you now?

Good luck for Wednesday mammabear. Hopefully everything is perfect in there. I can't imagine the apprehension ever goes away. I'm dreading any scans.

I'm still spotting slightly on and off, although now consistently brown instead of pink. I'm now a little over 4 weeks. If it carries on, at what point should I try to speak to someone about it? It seems far too early atm to bother anybody.

Morning all. 6 weeks today and feel crap! Though trying to see that as a good thing. Haven't got my booking appt in new area until 10 weeks which feels an eternity away, so goodness knows how late my scan will be.

Morning all. 7 weeks and constipated here. Fun, fun, fun.

Good luck on Wednesday Mama.

Good luck today Pattern.

That sounds promising Dancing. My EPU allows you to self refer but won't see you before 6 weeks. No idea for you as it varies so much from area to area.

Goodness that is late Bean. I am going to phone today and try and get my booking in appointment for the midwife for next week.

Morning all, hope you're all doing ok...

@beanhunter I didn't have my booking until 10+5 and got my scan letter the week after. Was 13+6 when I had the scan. Our epu is gp referral only in my area.

@Brenna24 I hope the constipation eases. The only thing that got things moving for me was really spicy food, luckily didn't get heartburn and the relief was welcomed.

23+4 and feeling like poop! DH and I tried to get intimate last night but it didn't work. I feel so guilty as we haven't dtd for over a month! Bought him breakfast and took into work to him to apologise for my non working lady parts

Report
Brenna24 · 26/06/2017 10:13

If it makes you feel any better Amy because my first bleed in my first pregnancy happened the first time we had sex after getting pregnant the midwives have banned me from sex during any pregnancy. So I am out of action for the forseeable future. Hopefully for a long time.

Thanks Amy. I just hope my dates are right as if I'm due earlier than expected then would risk that my dating scan would be past 13+6 and too late for a nuchal. Anyway. Can't do anything about it now I guess.
Epau is gp referral here but my gp referred me last time and said she would again. Going to see how this week goes and then decide.

AmyB1986 · 26/06/2017 11:24

@beanhunter hopefully they'll rush it through if you want the nt test. I think they do if it's pointed out at the booking you want that test doing.

@Brenna24 yes that makes me feel better but it's not that I didn't want to. My lady parts just weren't playing ball, I couldn't get into a comfy position and couldn't breath! I said to DH that I felt I should be with the manatees at the sea life centre right now rather than trying to to dtd. Poor man looks deflated today.

Crap. Am bleeding and cramping. Waiting for gp to call me back.
