Faint line on Superdrug early detection pregnancy test - newbie

Hi all,

I was really hoping someone could help and give some advice! I'm a newbie and first time trying to conceive!

My husband and I got married at the end of last month and have been trying since my last period ended (first day of last period was 23rd May)

Because I'm inpatient I did a Superdrug Early Detection test this morning and got a really faint line (pic) I'm actually due on tomorrow. I find it extremely hard to believe I have fallen pregnant straight away after first month of trying as I am 35 and not in the best of health!!!

Does anyone know the reliability of these Superdrug tests and what are people's thoughts on whether this is a positive or negative??

Thanks so much, all comments are appreciated!

Looks like you are also pregnant. I think most pregnancy tests are extremely reliable.

Congrats

i had the same and decided i wasn't pregnant, so i went to the hot springs as consolation prize. a few days after, the second line was shining bright and i started worrying about my previous trip to the hot springs.

i'd say no more drinks for you for a while, congrats :)

Bumbumtaloo · 22/06/2017 16:23

I had exactly the same with a Superdrug test, my DD is now 7! Congratulations.

Don't trust Superdrug tests.

They ALL give out lines.

Get another brand just to be sure.

Hotpinkangel19 · 22/06/2017 16:53

Not reliable at all. Don't trust superdrug tests. Get a different brand not clearblue

Hannano1990 · 22/06/2017 18:26

To be honest, that's not even stupidly faint. I would say a positive. Maybe try a boots own or clear blue digital.

Mine were so so faint. You could hardly see them and I'm not 11 weeks and saw my babies heartbeat about 5 weeks ago.

Congratulations if it does mean your pregnant. Flowers

Hannano1990 · 22/06/2017 18:27

Sorry.. I'm NOW 11 weeks

Hi all thanks for the feedback. I tried another one from Boots and got the following... not counting my chickens until I have been to the doctor though!

Well i think that last test confirms it. The doctor won't do a pregnancy test, as theirs are as reliable as you peeing on a stick at home. Just call them and find out how you get referred to a midwife, my surgery you just book in, other towns you have to self refer. congratulations :)

PollytheDolly · 23/06/2017 06:30

Count them chickens!! Grin

Congratulations.

TippyTinkleTrousers · 23/06/2017 06:58

That's fantastic!!! Congratulations.

hellybellyjellybean · 23/06/2017 07:01

Congrats xx

LapinR0se · 23/06/2017 07:02

You are so pregnant!

Hannano1990 · 23/06/2017 08:34

Very clear positive. Congrats xx

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 23/06/2017 10:15

Congrats op

The GP won't do any extra tests by the way. Mine didn't even want to see me, I was just booked in for a midwife app at the 8 week mark.

ScarletSienna · 23/06/2017 10:17

If you want, get one that says the word pregnant when positive so you believe it. Those tests are very obviously positive though. The doctors here wouldn't do anything if you've tested and got positives. Congrats!

Jellybabie3 · 23/06/2017 20:06

Congrats op! Agree with others, the doc is unlikely to even test u if you have had positives. You will be headed straight for the midwife ☺ excited for you xx
