Hi everyone

Sorry, I feel like I'm always posting questions and not contribute

...contributing much else, but this is my first (and likely only!) pregnancy.

I am 8+4 and have had light bleeding 3 times so far this pregnancy.
Each time I've been referred to the EPAC and been scanned, and everything has been fine.

I'm having it again today; pink/red blood when I wipe and a bit in my pants. No pain and it's not very much.

At what point do I stop ringing my GP? Should I just accept now that I'm going to have a bit of bleeding and try not to worry?

Hi. Did the sonographer ever find a source for the bleeding? And everything else on scan was fine?

I've also experienced bleeding this first trimester, and it has turned out to be nothing. But I've had bleeding in the past that's resulted in mc too.

I don't think you should ever stop calling your GP - or go directly to EPU as really, that's what they are there for.

But at 8+4 and if you've seen heartbeat and all looks well in previous scans, I bet everything is fine.

It's bloody terrifying though, I feel your pain! Keep the faith, and call the doc. 👍

When were you last scanned?

Thank you so much, I will.

I saw the heartbeat on Tuesday after bleeding on Monday, and I was the exact size for my dates etc, everything was good.

The sonographer said I may never know why there is bleeding.

After 3 times I just wasn't sure if I was still right to worry/be seen.

The worst they can do is tell you to wait it out until 12 weeks. Sounds like everything is great! I was told to expect more bleeding, which calmed my fears a bit when it happened. Only a tiny bit though - I'm still a neurotic mess!

If you can afford a private scan and you think it'd help, why not consider that.

Thanks everyone. I was last scanned on Tuesday and everything was fine.

If it carries on/gets worse I will go back, if not I will try and stay calm/manage my anxiety.

I may well do a private scan in 2 weeks at the halfway point between now and the 12 week scan for my sanity, good idea! I can't really afford it but I also can't keep working myself up into a state either.
