Any experiences of possible pre eclampsia?

Hi; I'm currently 37 +1 weeks pregnant and today at my midwife appointment was sent into hospital with bp of 144/92 but clear urine. However they tested urine at +2 protein and bp average 139/88. Blood tests all came back fine and heart rate monitoring of baby. No headache or swelling. They kept talking pre eclampsia but sent me home at the end of day and said to get bp/urine checked again Monday. However since getting home I've been reading about it and scared myself silly. Anyone with any experience? Thanks

Yeah I had it, diagnosed at 36 weeks and admitted, he was born 6 days later by emcs. My bp was a lot higher (190/110) and remained uncontrolled through two meds, had protein in urine and sudden swelling. Never had a headache or visual disturbances etc. Don't worry about it for now, they wouldn't send you home if they were worried, just watch out for any sudden swelling etc but otherwise just wait til Monday.

I devoped it around 35 weeks in my last pregnancy. Try not to worry! There's a lot of fear around pre-eclampsia, but in my experience it just means they will want to monitor you closely and move swiftly if needed to keep you and baby healthy.
By 37 weeks my BP wasn't staying stable even with meds, so DS was induced, a bit of a drawn out process, but nothing harrowing.
Just make sure you get regularly monitored and take it as it comes.

I had similar. high bp protein in urine but bloods came back fine so not pre eclampsia. Did they check lfts do you know? I had acute fatty liver of pregnancy, it has similar symptoms with pre eclampsia.

I had it at 38 weeks, was monitored regularly and DC1 was born at 40 weeks.

If you are unsure of anything, feel any different or anything changes before Monday, just call the hospital - they will get you back in for more checks. Try not to Google!

It is a good thing that you are so far along before you are having any of these complications and the obstetrics team are experts at dealing with PE and will look after you.

It's stupid to tell you to try not to worry I know, as obviously you will worry. The only advice I have is to take each day as it comes and remember that your baby will be here soon and that will make all of this weeing in buckets / blood tests / BP checks totally worth it.

Good luck with everything. Flowers
