Scan today and now worrying

So I had a scan today because I'm high risk due to previous DVT. I thought I was 6w2d but apparently I'm 5w6d. The wee heart was flying. Couldn't be seen with an external scan so had the giant dildo camera!!
Anyway, at the appointment we talked about my past dvt and I now have to self inject every day and take aspirin. I'm really worried at the moment in case I haven't started it soon enough and I already have a dvt forming!! I'm imagining all sorts of pain in my leg, burning sensations, shooting pains. Not sure if it's my imagination or actually real.

Your bound to be worried, I had a scare the other week and thought I might have a blood clot on my chest, luckily the CT scan was all clear!
The good news is the injections you need to take are to avoid DVT and even if there were any forming as soon as you start the injections it starts to break down the clots so they are unlikely to develop further and should disappear (according to the doctors I spoke to when I had to have the injections)

I think you need to discuss your fears with your midwife, im sure she will be able to put your mind at rest better than I can. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Thanks for reply anxious. I don't live in uk and things are done slightly differently here in middle east. My thighs are absolutely roasting too. What's keeping me sane is that it's actually both my thighs and not just one. Have an appointment with a haematologist tmrw so perhaps will ask then.

Hi been for a scan today showing 5 weeks but can see other blob on scan she queried blood clot but didn't say for sure and didn't say whether it was normal or dangerous what do. You think? Xxx

Yes ask all the questions you can to put your mind at rest. I do this too, I get pains in my legs but its never just one its always both so that's what sort of talks me out of thinking the worst. No idea why I get them though.

Sk2424 I really have no idea on that one! Maybe you should start a new thread and see if anyone else has an opinion or a similar experince. Might be worth ringing your midwife/antenatal unit and see what they advise?

Sorry if it's too personal anxious, do you suffer with anxiety? I do. I hate it.😓

Yes I do, and when I'm pregnant it gets ten times worse and I worry about EVERYTHING! I've been given a number to call by my GP to arrange counselling so hopefully this will help.
