Just wondering if there's any truth between the linea negra line and sex of the baby??

Did anyone have the line go past the belly button and have a boy like the old wives tale states? Or is this all a load if rubbish?! 😂😂

I think it's prob. nonsense....
Mine went way past and I had a girl.

dementedpixie Thu 18-May-17 19:49:42

I never got one with either of mine - one boy, one girl

savagehk Thu 18-May-17 19:51:58

how do you see past your belly button...? grin

Elkalv Thu 18-May-17 22:58:05

Mine is matching )

Mine didn't and had a girl. Bloody thing is still hanging around though! Do they disappear eventually.

BearGryllsHasaBigRope Fri 19-May-17 11:04:42

I never had one and I've had boys and girls!

I had the below the belly button line from quite early on.

It now extends all the way up my belly and that happened at about 24 weeks or so.

I'm now 37 weeks and still have no idea what sex the baby will be.

I've also got the chloasma mask too! 😬

Mine went above and I had a girl x

Mine went a little above belly button and I had a boy. Did eventually disappear but it took a while, I BF though and they say it takes longer if you BF.....hormones I guess?

Oh just wrote the above before looking at my 25 week pregnant belly - with a girl - and a faint line goes waaaaay above belly button so guess that dispproves the wives tale for me grin

SockQueen Fri 19-May-17 22:09:41

I didn't have one and had a boy.

DramaAlpaca Fri 19-May-17 22:11:08

I never had one in any of my three pregnancies. All were boys.

fuzzywuzzy Fri 19-May-17 22:14:50

I didn't have one with my two DD's.

Have a one which goes all over my belly and I'm expecting a DD.

CJCreggsGoldfish Fri 19-May-17 22:17:49

Hmmm, I don't think if realised before reading this thread, but I had one with DD, but didn't with DS.

GrouchyKiwi Fri 19-May-17 22:18:30

I didn't have one with any of my three pregnancies. All girls.

GwendolynMary Fri 19-May-17 22:19:06

I had one that went from boobs to pubes in each pregnancy. One boy, one girl.

lazycrazyhazy Fri 19-May-17 22:21:44

I didn't have one with any of mine of either sex.

SpunBodgeSquarepants Fri 19-May-17 22:29:03

My 3-year-old DS has always had one. As far as I know, he's not even pregnant.

I don't think they mean anything.

sugarplumfairy2010 Fri 19-May-17 22:38:37

Im pregnant with a little girl and mine goes up to just under my boobs.

Managed to look under bump, the line under bump is darker/wider than the line above. Will let you know if it's a boy or girl asap grin

Tattybogle89 Mon 22-May-17 10:43:09

I had one under bump only and had boy. It faded off but is still visible 6 years later

Twixes Mon 22-May-17 12:28:52

Had a really dark one with DS and none at all now and i'm expecting a girl. I got a very good tan while pregnant with DS so that might have some bearing on things.

If you're so curious about the gender of your baby, why don't you just find out? hmm grin

anon1987 Mon 22-May-17 12:56:48

Load of rubbish.
I have 3 girls, 2 I had the line all the way, and 1 no line at all.

thecatsarecrazy Tue 23-May-17 14:48:42

Mine didn't appear until just before I gave birth. He's 16 weeks now and I still have it

savagehk Sat 27-May-17 16:33:31

Just had a girl with a Linea negra that definitely went under my belly button!
