Severe scratching

Hello moms , so am 10 weeks pregs n its felt like av been like this for longer , when i turned 6 weeks my horrors started , am currently on anti sickness pills for hyperhemesis , av not been to work since as am constantly feeling wick n dizzy n tired , last weekend i started itching everywhere, i saw my gp who said maibe its coz i was constipated n toxins making way out thru skin , i started taking laxatives with good effects. The itching has not stopped , i had some bloods done to check my liver and am stil waiting results , gp aslo gave me barrier cream with urea with has not made a difference , last week i could have 4-5 baths a day combat helped sooth, but now my skin has cuts from scratching a bath is like tourture but again i get some relief from itching from it . I feel so miserable n sad all the time , i dnt sleep at night all i do is scratch . Its back front, privates , underarm, legs arms thighs sculp just everywhere. I feel am not enjoying my life atm someone help please . I feel doctors basically want me to just get on with it , naif thats the case where is quality of life ? 😞😞

I'm glad they've done blood tests. Make sure you get the results and get retested if your itching continues. Check out this website:

I was diagnosed with obstetric cholestasis when I was pregnant, and the itching was unbearable. I found that menthol in aqueous cream stored in the fridge helped (if temporarily), cold water and ice too. Some websites suggested brushing your skin with a baby hairbrush, but I have to say that didn't help me much. It sounds a bit mad but I slapped my skin too, which can kind of help to get rid of itching without damaging the skin.
I didn't end up using them because I've reacted badly in the past, but my Gp prescribed pregnancy-friendly antihistamines, so you could ask your doctor about that?
I remember how awful it was, hang on in there
