Chest uncomfortableness in the evening

Is this a normal pregnancy symptom? I don't remember this from last time...

The past week or so from roughly 5pm onwards I've been feeling weird sensations in my chest. Sometimes a sharp/stabbing pain, sometimes a heavy crushing feeling and sometimes just unexplainably weird.

Peppermint tea helps a little so I'm thinking possibly trapped wind as it's also in my back between my shoulder blades and I do feel slightly better after belching Blush.

I do suffer with anxiety and dh has been working nights this week which makes it worse so I don't know if I'm making it seem worse than it is. I was worried about a blood clot as I am a little breathless but I know that's normal in pregnancy. And surely if it was that I wouldn't only feel odd in the evening? My left leg occasionally feels a little weak but it always has so I know I'm just worrying over something that is normal for me.

Someone please say they feel the same by the end of the day! I'm thinking of a trip to the gp anyway on Monday to put my mind at rest.

Sorry for the ramble and thanks if you've read that far Smile

Does taking rennie help it at all? I only got that feeling quite late on with first pg but have had it from 17 weeks this this one. I have pains like you've described and noticed it comes on when I am slumped in the corner bit of the sofa in a crappy posture. Rennie and sitting up help me but yours may be something different and less easy to fix by the sound of it!

Could it possibly be heartburn?! You're at the right stage for it and that would make sense why it comes on in the evening. Try Gaviscon tomorrow night but definitely continue with your plan to see the GP. I really doubt it is anything serious though.

Thanks for the replies. I'll give those suggestions a go, for some reason I never even thought it could be heartburn! I have been getting a bit of acid reflux in my throat so sounds likely. Thanks :)
