Got my first BFP this morning! We've been trying since November and I was starting to think it would never happen. I'm 5 weeks exactly today going by last AF, so it looks like my due date will be early Jan 2018.
I couldn't believe it when I saw the line on the stick, have also done a clear blue digital one which shows conception was 2-3 weeks ago.
I'm excited and worried and feeling very alone as don't want to tell people this early but really want someone to talk to who has experienced this or who is going through this. DH obviously knows and is over the moon.
Is there anyone else here who it 5 weeks ish?
I don't even know if I'm supposed to tell the doctor yet! Aahh help!

Hello 👋 I'm due 2nd January, will be six weeks on Tuesday!! This is dc2 for me, ds will be 2 yr 9months when #2 arrives. I would see gp now to get ball rolling re referral to maternity services, or check online for your local hospital there might be an online self-referral form you can fill in!

36 weeks pregnant here but just wanted to say congratulations! Christmas and new year babies are brilliant, my DD was born on Christmas Day 2010 and she loves having her birthday at a special time of year. Also, you're not too heavily pregnant during the hot seasons (which is something I'm suffering with now and don't even want to think about how swollen I'd be if I was due any later!)
Wishing you a happy and healthy 8 months!

Strawb, you're so close! I hope all is well with you.
Emma, Hannah and Dangle, yay its so nice to know people who are the same many weeks as me! Congrats to you.
I phoned the dr today and they said they don't need yo confirm the pregnancy if a home test already has. So they made me my first mid wife appointment for 8th June! It seems like ages away, I'll be nearly 10 weeks then. I'm dying to tell people but haven't yet.
Have any of you other 5 weekers contacted the Dr yet?

I'm 5 weeks today with my 3rd. Can't quite believe it! Found out on Thursday and just called the Dr surgery to find out what I'm supposed to do! It's been a few years since I've done this. Feeling ok so far, but definitely feel pregnant!

Hey, I found out I was pregnant on Monday! I'm 5weeks and 6 days today! I went to the doctors on Friday and they calculated that my due date would be 02/01/2018!
Just waiting to be referred to the hospital now so it's just a waiting game 😩
How are you feeling? What symptoms do you have?
Michelle x

Hi guys,
Congrats to you all!

I found out on Friday, and went to the GP this morning. I'm 5w 5days today
GP has referred me for a scan as I've been getting quite bad pain in my lower right abdomen the past week - so hoping it's not an ectopic pregnancy! Confused

This was unplanned, so still shocked and getting used to the idea, but OH is very excited which is great Smile

I've just got my letter today for booking in, I will be 9+6 although they think I will be 10+5. I hope I can still get a good picture of baby as it's very early!

Congrats guys :).
Not to sound too stupid but is the booking in appointment the first one with the midwife that's about an hour? My Dr has made me an appointment to see midwife at the surgery on 8th June, I'll be nearly 10 weeks then and can't believe I have to wait that long to see someone. Was also wondering if they'll do a scan then.
The only symptoms I've had is sore boobs and a pokey feeling on my lower left abdomen. No period pains which I always get so that's why I took the test. What's everyone else got?

Yes that's probably your booking in appointment. They take your medical history and some bloods. I think generally they do a scan but some places are different. Last time I had booking in at 8 weeks scan at 10 but think will both be together this time. I know that we don't get nuchal screening etc here in Northern Ireland so I'm not sure if that has to be a bit later than 12 weeks so if you are in the rest of the UK that might affect things and if you are likely to get a scan then

I did an online self referral to the midwifes 😊 yes booking appointment takes about an hour where they go through your and the dads family and medical history. Go through any previous pregnancies, take some blood etc etc. Then they'll see you next at 16weeks if it's your first, or 20 weeks if it's your second.
It's a seperate booking appointment to scan appointment here. They're not even held in the same place here. Scans are at the hospital and midwife appointment in the community. They generally have booking appointments between 8-10 weeks and scan in the subsequent few weeks after. 😊

I've had lots of pokey feelings in my abdomen! Sometimes i wake up and my stomach feels like it's stretched overnight 😥 I've been feeling a bit nauseous throughout the day, getting worse in the evenings but thankfully no actually sickness yet!

I'm feeling really bloated and am cold all the time at the moment. No sickness or tiredness yet thankfully. I'll be 9+4 at my first appointment and they said they refer me for a scan then and it'll be in plenty of time for 12 weeks. I really hope so as we're going away with family when I'm 13 weeks and thought that would be the perfect time to tell them :).
