Hi

I'm really struggling to get and stay asleep at night. Thought I would be able to catch up today being a Saturday and it just isn't happening. Any tips would be greatly received before I lose my marbles!! X

No advice but I'm having the same. 4+6 today and been this way for a fortnight, from the week before I got a positive.

It's awful. I hope you get some sleep soon flowers

I'm 4+4 weeks and can't sleep either I get restless legs anyway but being pregnant is making it worse best thing I find that helps is freshly laundered bedding and a hot bath befor bed x

Im now 33 weeks and Ive had dodgy sleep since 4 weeks. Its been on and off throughout. Go to bed early, stay calm about it and just take what you can. I can usually go asleep fine but wake up in the middle of the night for a few.hours. so now if that happens ill just get up and read or whatever and go back. Just try to get my sleep in bits and pieces, its not ideal but it sort of works...

I'm waking up at daft times. I've read that this is now the time to practice naps.

Thanks ladies! I have been out and got some Horlicks so I'm hoping that helps. I am obviously not glad that you guys are not sleeping either but it's nice to know it's not just me/I'm not going mad xx

Magnesium tablets.
Swore by them when I suffered both insomnia and restless legs when pg, took a week or two to make a difference but oh boy did it

Had a much better sleep last night. For anyone on this thread struggling, a milky horlicks and a few drops of lavender oil under my pillow seemed to work a bit of magic xxx

Ladies be careful with hotbaths and bath oils..hot baths can raise body temperature-not good, and bath oils can also not be great in pregnancy. (Have a quick read on how to have safe hot baths!) takecare and good luck with catching up on sleep ..xx

Thanks 😁. I definitely wasn't saying we should take hot baths or the use of oils in baths. I put a few drops of lavender oil underneath my pillow. Maybe I was just absolutely shattered though 😂

I wouldn't worry that early on it's probably just anxiety causing it. Soon the exhaustion will hit and you'll be falling into bed for the night at 7pm

It's often not reported much, pregnancy insomnia. Everyone assumes you'll be sleeping all the while 😕
I didn't get more than 3/4 hours during my whole pregnancy I felt wired and full of caffeine

Err per night not the whole nine months grin
