Ok going to sound ridiculous but my other child is a girl so never had to really pay attention to a boy ultrasound.

Can anyone explain to me what is showing as what in those circles as I have zero idea of a boys anatomy at the early stage.

The photos were taken at 14 almost 15wk and when I showed it to a couple of people who have boys theyve all said "that looks nothing like what my sons did are they sure thats not the cord or still the nub as it is early" I just looked blank lol pretending to know what they mean

That is what they call a potty shot taken right between the legs, so you have legs on each side and a penis in the middle. If you see that triangle sticking out between the legs it's almost always a boy, whereas a girl will have white lines showing her labia

So the 2 white bits down the side which are circled what is that? Thats what a lot of my friends have said....ummm isnt that girls bits...and asking why its bright white as a couple of friends who then showed me theirs from further on 18/20wks are not bright white....resulting again in me just saying ummmm lol hiding in embarrassment.

With Girls you have 3 seperate white lines all linear to each other... as this is one complete line around what can only be described as little boys bits its definately a little boy!

Oh sorry thats my drawing on it as i sent this image to a friend as well. Where I have written number 3 (x2) i know its not very clear but where the yellow line goes through by number 1 those bits are separate. I showed my midwife as I had a hemorrahage early on and she saw this photo and asked why I had bothered to ask about the gender at 15wk exactly (dont know if she is NHS should only do scans or having a bad day) but she said "dont take what youve been told to be dead cert ive seen people have gendet scans change from boy to girl" lol thanks for the vote of confidence there lol

I believe what you have circled there is the meat and two veg Grin

You're definitely having a boy by the looks of it but you can ask them to look again at your 20 week scan.
