I once read it's 67%

(2 boys here, DH has 4 brothers so I quit whilst I was ahead Grin) I remember researching the stats

It's about testosterone in the womb or something

It's not as high as 67%. The odds are slightly more for the same but it's more like 53%. I'll see if I can find the link.

I have had two boys and am now pregnant with my third boy

A friend of mine has three boys

Another friend of mine has three boys

Another friend had three girls

So in my study of 4 women I'd say it's more likely Grin Congratulations!

I had 2 girls then a boy then 2 girls and just found out today, at 16 weeks that I'm having a boy. Pay and have a private scan, it is so worth it, the whole experience was so much nicer than any hospital nhs scans. So for me it went
Girl
Girl
Boy
Girl
Girl
Boy.
My sister had 2 boys then a girl, so who knows, could have a girl x

I think it's always pretty much 50/50. Boy #3 due here. I guess DH only makes one flavour 😝

My 3rd was a girl after 2 boys.

Just found out boy #3 is on the way. Lying awake in the small hours trying to wrap my head around it.

The odds of having a subsequent boy go up with every boy you have, so yes, if you have two boys, there is an increased chance of having a third, but the chance isn't as significant as it would be if you had three boys and were on your fourth pregnancy, for example.

I had two boys followed by two girls.

Does anyone know how the odds of what you'll get are if your partner is 1 of 3 boys to his dads side and 1 of 3 boys to his others (he has 2 half brothers on both sides) and 1 half sister?

I always assumed that as t was a mainly male dominated background for him we'd always have boys

The odds are increased that you'll have a boy if your partner comes from a male-dominated family. However, my DH is one of four boys and we ended up with two of each, so it's not as though the statistical probability writes off the chance of having a girl.

Thanks for all the replies.
So it's pretty mixed then. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

My husband had a brother and a half sister ( same dad)

His brother has two girls then a boy.

His dad has brothers.

Mum a mix of both.

😳
