Bilateral CPCs detected at 20 week scan... Dr could not find hands or feet

I am so worried and due to see a specialist next week but I was wandering if anyone could offer any information. The 20 week scan revealed 2 cysts on babies brain. She said she could also not see the hands or the feet clearly. I thought I saw a weird shape head but didn't comment on it at the time because it only made sense that is could be a marker for T18 once I'd done some research. Should i be concerned about the hands and feet... do most 20 week scans show them clearly?

from the little i know, hands and feet are visible at the 20 week scan. but not having seen them doesn't necessarily mean they're not there. it could also be due to the baby being in a weird position, where the hands and feet are not visible.
did the ultrasound technician suggest a second scan to follow up on the brain cysta? that could be useful in determining whether for the hands/feet there's a problem or if it was just a position issue

How very worrying for you. Have they offered any kind of follow up? If not, can you get in touch with the mw and ask what next steps would be?

Here's hoping it's nothing to worry about

So sorry for the worry this must be causing you.

I wouldn't place too much emphasis on head shape as they can look oddly shaped in the scans. Hands and feet, both were visible on my 20 week scan, hands more so than feet. However in the still images they both look like stumps.

When do you have a rescan?

Thank you for your replies and kind words.

I am due another scan with a specialist on Monday. I will update with any news then.

The baby moves a lot each day so I'm hoping this is a good sign!
