I'm sorry you're having such a stressful time. If you're booked in for more tests you're just going to have to try your best to stay calm and wait to see what they say. Make sure you keep asking questions at the hospital until you understand what's going on. Their advice will be better than anything you can get on here because they have access to all your results/records.

The reality is that very early pregnancy is an uncertain time. You just have to wait it out to see what happens. Sometimes you get what you want and sometimes you don't, but there's rarely any control over that or anything that can be done to get the outcome you want.

Good luck with it.

(If you come back with an update, please try and separate your post into separate sentences/paragraphs. You'll get better support if people can follow what you're saying).

Why did you have a scan so early on? It sounds much too early to see anything. Have you had any bleeding?

Gallavich Tue 18-Apr-17 10:23:58

I don't understand why they scanned you at that early stage of pregnancy. That seems really unhelpful.

mysecret321 Tue 18-Apr-17 16:51:04

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and set up a thread here. I had my scan last Thursday and all is good so far smile

Sorry for your worries. It's probably just too early to see anything. I hope you get good news soon.

Yes please to the use of punctuation, full stops and paragraphs! I'm an experienced proof reader and it still took me about 3 attempts to get any sense out of your flow of consciousness OPost. You will get much more help if people can understand your story.

Staceywilliams24 Tue 18-Apr-17 21:39:28

Sorry but I got learning difficulties which I can't spell including understanding so sorry for people don't understand but can't help it

MrsH128 Tue 18-Apr-17 22:44:06

please don't say sorry people should be trying to offer support and not flipping punctuation classes

you're obviously going through a very tough time and unfortunately all you can do right now is try not to stress and relax

fingers crossed for the blood tests xxx

I'm afraid that pregnancy can be an anxiety provoking time. 40 weeks is a long time and then all being well you end up with a baby to worry about for the next 60-70 years.

See if you can break it down into little stages to make it more manageable. E.g. The Wednesday appointment, followed by the one 2 weeks later, building up to the 12 week scan, then the 20 week scan. The longer the pregnancy keeps going, the more likely it is to be a success. Your chance of miscarriage reduces all the time and the likelihood of a baby born prematurely and surviving increases all the time.

I also think it's useful to have positive distractions so you have other things to occupy your time/thoughts. Do you have supportive friends/family/partner?

It might be worth talking to your GP/midwife to see if there's any additional help you can have with your anxiety. You're not going to have any definite answers on how things are going to turn out so the focus needs to be on how you cope with that uncertainty.

It is normal to feel like your period is going to come on in early pregnancy although I agree it is a very worrying feeling. I wouldn't stress about the scan, as you say you know your dates and its just too early to see anything. Best of luck, keep us updated flowers

Have just been for more blood test and not really happy as the nurse given me more negative when they not meant to just have to wait for my result's if it goes higher or low xx

Staceywilliams24 Wed 19-Apr-17 12:08:38

They told me my bloods as dropped and said I had miscarried but don't know how as I haven't bleed they said same thing bout my 6year old son so got to do pregnancy test next week n more bloods

Cammysmoma Fri 21-Apr-17 16:10:04

At this very early stage in pregnancy your scan should be carried out internally and not with a handheld device over abdominal area x
