I just do not have it in me to read all the comparison articles and decide which pillow might be best My last pregnancy I got a Precious Little Ones pregnancy pillow, just a long straight one, and it was way too soft/flat, had to double it over.
Any recommendations for a nice, firm, cocoon-like pillow? I was looking at the DreamGenii one because I like the pretty covers <shallow>, but apparently it's very soft.
I had a dream genii with dd1 but this time I'm using a soak and sleep full body pillow which is just bliss - like sleeping/cuddling a giant marshmallow. It's very supportive for bump and spd I'm 33 weeks now and had it all way through.
I have one from mamas and papas that I really like used it for about 10 weeks or so.. but also liked the look of the DreamGenii it went on offer so I got it. I hate it! I find it really annoying to get up to use the loo in the middle of the night, then to get back into the the middle of it when getting back into bed. I went back to old one and love it still. Think I like that it comes up higher and I kinda hug it. But I know some people love the DreamGenii but it wasn't for me at all.
The Boppy wedge pillow is fantastic for putting under your bump or between your legs in mid to late pregnancy. I also bought a Leachco compact sleeper (can also buy a regular size) which is a bit like a dream genii pillow buy cheaper and more versatile. This has been fantastic for me as use it in a doughnut shape for sitting up in bed and under my bump/between knees for sleeping. Can't do without it now at 33 weeks!
I've got dodgy hips and knees (hypermobile) so I bought a decent bolster pillow pre-pregnancy and have just moulded it around the bump or under the bump as my shape has changed. The one below is now about two years old and still provides great support.
Oh fab, thanks for the recommendations! I think realistically I'll have to actually go to a shop <shudder> and have a feel of a few. I'm wide of hip so maybe that's why I feel the need for a fatter pillow. Going to check out all the links you provided now
