Really need some advise hoping someone can help!
I stopped taking my pill 5 days before the packet ended. Had a week long bleed and haven't taken any since, I've been sexually active every other day, had no further bleeding at all. I'm not due my period for another 6 days but I've started getting a lot of thick discharge and feeling tired, nauseous and rubbish. I've had a miscarriage before and I had really sore breasts when I fell pregnant that time and really bad cravings but I don't seem to have any of those symptoms. So confused and worried please help! X

If you had sex after stopping taking the pill, then yes, you could be pregnant. And the only way to know is to...........................

TAKE A PREGNANCY TEST

the first bleed was a withdrawal bleed rather than a proper period and you can't predict how long your cycle will be after coming off the pill, whatever it was like beforehand. If you were on the combined pill, the bleed on the off week isn't a proper period either.

Oh and every pregnancy is different, even for the same woman so not having symptom X is no indicator.

The only way to know is to do the test

I did a test 3 days ago but it was negative, I'm just going to have to wait and test when my period is due 😐 Thanks for the reply!

But my point was, as you've just come off the pill, you can't know when your period is 'due'

Oh bugger! Do you know how to work that out? I could be waiting for something that's never going to come 😐 Or do I just keep testing until I come on?

I think you do just have to keep testing every few days, yes

But if it's only been about 3 weeks since you came off the pill, probably a bit soon still.

When did you stop taking the pill?

It's probably your hormones going a bit mad after coming off the pill. Just keep testing every few days.

I'm guessing you mean March? If is yes you could definitely be pregnant.

I got pregnant on the pill. Taking it properly and everything. Apparently it's becoming more and more common people actually getting pregnant on the pill. False advertisement or what!!

As above said you won't know when your proper period is due so test every 3-5days. I tested after I had a funny 1 day short brown bleed which I'm normally heavy for full week. Negative. Next month missed a period well I guessed as it had been like 6 weeks from the The short weird period. My boobs had started hurting and my dog wouldn't leave me alone so just wanted to put my mind at ease. And a thick pink line came up. I thought the test was broke!!!!

Make sure you buy the pink dye ones. They're 99p for two in b & m!

Am I right in saying you should test first thing in the morning or is that just a myth?

When you're not that far along you should test first wee of morning yes. I didn't when I found out but I was either 6 or 8weeks. Not sure lol!! Currently either 8or 10 weeks now x

Just took an early prediction test... negative so I think it must just be the effects of coming off of the pill 🙁 Better luck next month I guess

I had this exact scenario. Came off the pill, immediate"period" when it came to the next month I felt all weird - crampy, tired, dehydrated, forgetful...and took an early prediction test 4 days before and it was negative. Waited 10 days so then 6 days late and got a positive result.

Don't trust the early detection kits - didn't work for me - wait a week or so and then test again...

We dtd every other day after coming off the pill and got a bfp after 7 weeks. My body was just a bit weird after coming off the pill. I was technically 4 weeks pregnant when found out, a couple of weeks after ovulation.

I did have no idea though and was symptom spotting and testing throughout

I guess everyone's body's are different so hard to predict. I also don't know if it's my mind playing games with me wanting a ban so much that it's making me feel pregnant when I'm not 🙄

I had the implant removed in December, after a year and half and constant bleeding. I had withdrawal bleed after I had it out. And the last few weeks I have had, nausea, dihorea, headaches, itchy/painful boobs, cramping, yellow/brown discharge and milk cream thick discharge when wipe. I am due on my period on Friday 21st April, I took a clear blue test Tuesday 11th April and got a negative, and then took one today (Saturday 16th April ) and got not pregnant again. Am I pregnant

You're still a week before you are due, it is probably too early to tell.

Sorry, no crystal ball

I know, but the last few weeks I have been cramping and had spotting once. And have felt nausea the last two days and have had discharge for few weeks. Do you think there is a chance I could be and have tested too early?

Of course there is a chance you could be if you have had unprotected sex

BUT the hcg levels which the tests detect won't be high enough to detect until around about when you're due....

Kaileigh76 · 15/04/2017 20:51

Okay thank you, so when should I test again and what test should I use as I've heard different things about clear blue

Report
arbrighton · 15/04/2017 20:54

I would hold off til at least the date you're due.

As for what test, no idea, I bought whatever the hell they had in co-op when we got back from holiday when I thought I might be due as I wasn't quite regular but just had a feeling

POAS and lo and behold, I was
