I've just been given free reign to start getting essential stuff. Would like to see what I am getting, especially with the c are seat. Does anyone know of any big arse baby stores in easy reach of south East london/kent? I am so out of the loop I was planning on going to kiddicare in Thurrock but I now think it has closed down?

Can you easily get to Croydon? Purley way has several retail parks. Big mothercare, Mamas and Papas, Toys R Us (which has a babies r us in it) plus lots of big shops for clothes. There is good parking and we have got most of our stuff from there. Good luck, its exciting!

Kiddicare in Thurrock has closed unfortunately. There is Katie's Playpen in Blackfen which is quite big and has a lot under one roof.

Boo for gastonswife.

But yeah for Croydon. It's a bit of a trek but will give it a go.

I have been waiting for what feels like forever to be honest. Took us a good while to conceive and a good while for me to feel like it's real! Still feel a bit like I am tempting fate tbh. But if I keep on delaying we are going to have a baby here and nothing for it.

How far along are you OP? My DH didnt let me buy anything until our 20 week scan, which was actually closer to 22. But since then I have gone a bit mad! I'm now 26 weeks. The retail parks have been brilliant and we have everything apart from nursery furniture, we do know the one we're getting though. You need to drive between each one, but they are super close to each other. There are big supermarkets as well, which is good for basic clothes. I went to the big Sainsburys yesterday, they have 25% off clothing this weekend. Have fun!

20 weeks but all we had got was 2 sleeping bags.....

We now have a moses basket and a car seat. The pram I am thinking will get dd's old one refurbished. Am going to try to hold off on clothes, bedding and muslins and stuff like that till further along. But we both work full time and have a dd to look after and entertain so there aren't enough hours in the day and it will shoot past!
