Hi I've been awake on and off all night with what feels like severe period pains. Obviously some cramping at this stage of pregnancy is to be expected, but it's lasted all night. Even now my tummy feels sore and tender. I'm also feeling sick and experiencing hot flushes and night sweats, and my knickers are feeling a bit damp (sorry tmi). I've been peeing throughout the night, but I think this is more down to the fact I was awake than there being a lot more fluid. Is this braxton hicks? The baby seems to be moving fine, so I don't think it's distressed. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, so will mention it then. But just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar symptoms at this stage in the pregnancy? Is it ok to take a paracetamol for the cramping pain? I'm prob over thinking it, but have been a bit weepy and emotional this week anyway!

I'd ring your Delivery Suite/Day Assessment Unit and would be heading in this morning for an assessment. Could be a UTI, could be early Labour, could be nothing. But you should get checked today, this morning (I am a Midwife and this is my professional opinion). Hope all goes well.

I think there's a fair chance you're in early labour. Do your wet pant actually smell of wee, or does it smell sweet? If the latter, it's your waters and you do need to call the labour ward

Oh really? Thanks so much for responding so quickly. I thought I would be wasting their time, but will call this morning in that case!
