Baby more active than usual

Hi guys,

This may seem a really silly question but is it a concern if baby is more active suddenly?

I know a decrease in movement is a cause of concern but is an increase?

I only started feeling LO 2 weeks ago and the past week ive been feeling him everyday. More and more as the days go on.

Today I've had severe trapped wind which was confirmed when I spoke to my maternity unit in concern.
It's all settled now, could this have caused him to move about a lot tonight?

I usually feel him a few times a day and the most within an hour of sitting down but it's been a lot more tonight which I'm loving the feeling but just want to put my silly worry head to rest.

Please tell me this is ok? Lol x

How many weeks are you?

Increased movement can be a sign of foetal distress but that would usually be later on - I presume you're still in the second trimester?

I have been wondering the same thing. I am 25+2 and he has been going crazy this evening. Can it be a sign of distress this early on?

I'm 25 weeks tomorrow. Had a check up yesterday and all was fine.

He's seemed to calmed down again since I posted it. Today was the first day in a week that I've sat all day.
Maybe I'm just able to feel him more being relaxed?

They say it takes a while for their patterns to develop and for you find their routine, so it may just be that.

That said, always always call if you're concerned. Smile

I think when you first start to feel movement it's not so clear and then it gets easier to feel, that's all.

Yer he hasn't got his pattern yet, the midwife said I'll probs get to know his pattern by 28 weeks.
It just surprised me how much I felt him over the last few hours lol

I think he's having a little rest now ready for a kicking later
