My stomach hurts, is it just me?!

Third baby, about 9-10 weeks, and my stomach is huge. Wearing leggings and maternity trousers as my normal trousers just do not fit. My stomach is really aching, it's not down low so def not womb but more up high and middle. Feels like I've done too many sit ups (as far as i can recall, it's a long time since I've done any sit ups let alone too many!) Any one else experiencing similar? I really think this pregnancy is going to be a nightmare if I feel this uncomfortable this early! It's almost like my body can't stretch to accommodate baby quick enough... Maybe it's twins ShockConfused

Hi I have this pain as well but I am 17+6 so not sure if it's the same? Feel like I've done a 3 hour ab workout! My midwife said it's just muscle pain from your muscles growing with your tummy so nothing to worry about Smile

Hi not to totally freak you out lovely as it might just be everything shifting and stretching. But I felt like this and was huge ( it is my 2nd pregnancy) it was discovered at my first scan that I have a huge fibroid growing at the top of my uterus which is the size of a watermelon. It's growing with the pregnancy. I had no idea.

I had this and was told I had somehow managed to pull a muscle... No clue how though! Xx

Thanks all, I'll mention it to the midwife and see what she says. Hopefully just muscles adjusting although part of me thinks I might be a little bit glad if they find something like that lily, at least there'd be a good reason! What happened when they'd found it if you don't mind me asking? Treatment of some kind? Hope you're ok

Well not a great deal at the moment, the consultant saw me 2 days later, prescribed me codeine for the pain ( which now at 19 weeks is fairly bad at times) I've been told to go into hospital if the pain is unbearable and I had an MRI scan last Friday. I've extra scans from 28 weeks and told to expect a planned Caesarean and an early baby. Not a lot of information given to be honest and I've stupidly been on google 😲it's definitely not making this much wanted pregnancy any fun but at least I know the baby will be fine.

Hope you are ok love xx

Nothing said about the removal of the fibroid until after the baby is born then I'd be happy for them to get rid of it by a hysterectomy. I'm nearly 39 and will have my planned 2 children. Do not do well with pain.

I had this and it went away, i was about 30 weeks at the time. Was strained muscles. Have u been sick a lot? That can do it too. In my case it was SPD causing me to rely on other muscles more aswell as uterus expanding

Oh my, you poor thing lily, sounds awful Flowers I do hope everything is ok for you through birth and afterwards. Thank you for sharing.

I've had no sickness, only nausea (apart from a novel retching spell this morning) otherwise yes it would feel similar to that. I'm going to ask the midwife if I seem bigger than would be expected and maybe ask for an earlier scan to see if there's anything odd going on. Thanks all.

I had exactly this too from about 9 weeks to 13/14 or so, and I described it just like you have!

No fibroids or other issues found and it went away of its own accord. Now 19 weeks and haven't had it since. Grin I can only assume it's your abs yielding or perhaps more likely, not wanting to yield! Don't know if it's relevant to you too but I was fairly slim and fit/active before getting pregnant and wondered if this had any bearing Hmm

Had something similar, turned out to be an umbilical hernia. I'd had it since my birth but it only became painful when my expanding belly expanded the hernia.
I had it sewn up 6 months after giving birth.
Hope it turns out to be something simple
