Acrobatics when pregnant?

I am just 4 weeks pregnant. As it is the weekend, I have not had the chance to ask a doctor for advice about exercise since I got my BFP. I normally go to an acrobatics class once a week. I would like to keep going to the class for a few more weeks. I really enjoy it, it makes me happy!

The class is beginner level. We do some pushups and such to warm up, then cartwheels/handstands on what is basically a massive bouncy castle. I will probably fall on my arse a few times, but the floor is super soft.

Obviously I won't be able to keep this up forever. But it seems like the baby would be way, way too small at this point to be at any risk. I could easily not even know I was pregnant yet! So, can I keep going until I can get some proper advice from a GP?

I carried on with yoga in my first pregnancy until it wasn't comfortable any more. I think you should speak to the instructor as they may not want you to do certain things or can change things to suit you. I was told not to do inversions. Usual advice with excercise in pregnancy is don't start something new but if you have already been doing it you should be ok.

Thanks Scotmum. I think I'm going to go along tonight and just take it easy. We can usually work on our own moves, so I'll just avoid anything too jarring.
