Period 11 days late, neg tests

Hi,

As title states I'm current 11 days late for my period (last period started 22 Feb) and still having negative tests.

I've never missed a period before, except during my last 2 pregnancies. My DH and I use either condoms or the withdrawal method (I know, I know) and would have last DTD between 27th Feb and 5th March (he works away).

Any ideas what could be going on? I haven't been particularly stressed or had any major changes in weight.

Surely I would have had a positive test by now if pregnant? My last pregnancies showed very early.

I'm baffled!

Thanks for reading Smile

I can't answer, I came on to post almost the exact same thing! Period due Tuesday, negative tests on Friday and Sunday.

I have been a bit more stressed than usual, but nothing extreme, so I've got no idea where my period has got to!

Hi I saw your post a couple of days ago but ran out of time to reply, I was in the same boat, 11 days late today, testing negative up until Monday just gone, decided to stop poas until today and got a Bfp on a digital today, massive shock as I assumed it would be another negative, I hope you have an answer now. I'm still baffled as to why it's taken so long to get a positive but keeping my fingers crossed everything is ok, especially as I had a chemical pregnancy last month. I have my fingers crossed you get the result you are hoping for x

Hi,
I've just come across you're post!

During pregnancy, your body produces a hormone called human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG). hCG is produced by the cells that will form the placenta. hCG starts being produced once the embryo implants in the uterine wall. Pregnancy tests work by detecting hCG levels in the blood or urine sample provided. hCG levels can usually be detected in the blood around 11 days after conception, though it takes 12-14 days for hcg levels to be detected in a urine sample. hCG levels increase rapidly at the start of the pregnancy, but will then decline slightly until around week 16 and remain steady.

^^ hope this helps good luck. Xx

Hi I am new to this site so not sure how this works but I am having the same problem! My period was due 11 days ago. I came off the pill last June and my period has come every 4 weeks exactly since but I have done 2 tests And they were both negative. I just don't feel like myself at the minute, very emotional and a bit crampy I don't know what I'm supposed to do, we would love a baby but I can't understand why my period just wouldn't come if I wasn't pregnant.

I guess I was more stressed than I realised. I had a particularly awful day, decided to make a big change in my life, and felt instantly more relaxed. 2 hours later, my period arrived!

Weird what stress can do!
