Feel like I'm always complaining

I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant with my second child. I didn't enjoy my first pregnancy and it's fair to say I'm having a shit time this time too.
Don't get me wrong, I haven't even got anything to complain about. DD is a star and helps me loads... she's 5 and has a really good understanding of why mummy is feeling rubbish lately. DH is really hands on and helps loads. But I feel like shit. Aaaaalllll the time. I either feel sick, I've got pains, I've got a headache. When nothing hurts I'm too bloody knackered to do anything.
I feel guilty because I should be overjoyed to be pregnant. But the reality is, I can't wait for 40 weeks so it can be over and done with 😔

Your second tri-mester might be better. I felt like I had a permanent hangover for the first 16 weeks. Grim. Then it eased off.

Did you last pregnancy get better in the middle?

I'm with you! I'm 13 weeks, and while this baby is very much wanted, I'm not enjoying the pregnancy at all. HG is grim, im so exhausted I can barely function and the constipation is unreal. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever feel human again. I always thought I'd have too, but I'm really not sure I want to go through this again.

I feel the same OP. 11+3 and I've given in and called in sick to work as was up all night. I'm sat on sofa in pjs. House is a mess, no decent food in the fridge (living off white toast and ginger biscuits) and I can't bring myself to socialise. Feel like a total failure. Sure other people cope better (I know my DH thinks I'm a wimp).

Bring on due date!

Don't feel bad about complaining. It is utterly crap (whilst obviously being a wonderful miracle...)

Thanks all..... Sorry to be so selfish but it's soooooo good to hear others are feeling the same. Everyone I speak to is like "oooh the miracle of life" or " oh you're so lucky to be pregnant think of those girls who can't have children you should be grateful" and blah blah blah!!!
I am beyond happy to be pregnant, this baby is very much wanted, but pregnancy?! Nah it's clearly not for me 😂 maybe I could just go to sleep and wake up in 6 months time ready to squeeze him/her out? 😂 xx

I text my husband this afternoon to tell him I'm failing at this. I just feel so crappy all of the time (except the rare moments when the nausea disappears, but is immediately replaced with total panic that something is going wrong). I look a complete state. I had mascara underneath my eye all afternoon after it ran while I was throwing up at work. I think I've burst a blood vessel in my head from dry heaving. My poor kids are house bound and my poor, poor husband is literally doing everything. Cooking, cleaning oh and not to mention the complete renovation of our house.
I'm actually embarrassed about how bad I'm dealing with this.

I should say that I didn't enjoy pregnancy with my other two children. Though I was 10 years younger then so I'm blaming the added age for making me even more shit this time.
I loved Labour though! Seriously, give me Labour over pregnancy any day!

Mabel83 Thu 30-Mar-17 19:11:25

Yes, 2ducks!!! I enjoyed the labour part too!! Think it's knowing that you can actually do something about it instead of just having to suffer. I've only been sick a handful of times, but always heaving and feeling sick. Everything is an effort 😩 moan moan moan lol.
We're not quite renovating but we have had major decorating jobs on the go and like yours my husband is doing more than his fair share. And yeah I totally get what you mean, I'm embarrassed by how badly I "do" pregnancy. I'm such a wimp!! I just wanna sit and wallow in my own self pity 😂
