Hello ladies
I am wondering if anyone had any advice for me at all..

Right where do I begin lol!
Basically my periods are irregular and usually once every 3 months which is a pain when TTC - last month I got prescribed some tablets to start my period off but I don't think I've ovulated.
Last Thursday I had ( sorry for the TMI) a lot of white discharge but didn't look like ovulation discharge to me ( I could be wrong)
Now AF was meant to arrive yday and it hasn't - I took pregnancy tests at the weekend as I just didn't feel myself. Two came back + positive and the rest were negative? Which has confused me but my question is... if I go back to the Doctor tmo they said they can give me more tablets & something for ovulation but what if I ovulated later and could be pregnant ? would this tablet to help my periods harm the baby? As it would force a period? I am so confuse what with the + tests :/ I just am looking for any advice please x

When exactly did you take the tablets and when did you get a positive test?

I started the tablets on the 14th February till the 23rd. Then on the 27th I came on my period for a week.
I got a 'positive' test this Saturday gone I got 2 + and then I tested on Monday and it was negative?

Is it possible the tablets have caused you to ovulate some time since your last period on the 27th February and it's still early and your wee on the Monday was too dilute to get a positive? Definitely mention it to your doctor tomorrow, they can do blood tests to check if your pregnant before starting the next course of treatment.
Ps if it was norethisterone they gave you to bring on your periods then you can't take it again if you are already pregnant or might be until they rule out you definitely are as it can harm the baby.

I have been checking my ovulation but as of yet still not positive I've had close to 2 dark positive lines for the opk but I don't think it classes until both of them are the same colour or darker?

so I guess there could be a chance I did ovulate later and I just didn't see it whilst doing the opk?.. that could be right I suppose? Just weird how I got 2 + test and then negative on Monday. :/.. yeah I think your right I think I'll go tmo and see what they say

Yes that's the tablets I was on for 10 days!... ohh okay so I need to make sure before getting another course? And if I'm not can they give me then again with a tablet to make sure I ovulate do you know? Xx

You could maybe have missed your peak if you only tested once a day. But I know what you mean about it being strange getting the negative test on Monday. Hopefully not the case but could have been a chemical pregnancy where little bean was there but unfortunately not sticky enough.
I'm not really sure of the procedure for giving drugs to help you ovulate etc so not sure what they would give you and when. They probably would try a few cycles of the norethisterone before moving on to clomid which is to help you ovulate.

I thought that also but the day I nearly got a positive we DTD anyway so I had that base covered lol ;) and that was the day my app said I was going to ovulate ... its very strange and I am trying not to over think things I guess!.. yeah someone else did mention that chemical pregnancy.. but would I bleed from that?... or ?.

Yeah I think you might be right about giving me longer on the medicine before the clomid! Arrghhh so confusing I think I'll take myself off to doctors tmo and ask them to do one of their pregnancy tests and then go from

You would have thought if it was a chemical you would have had af arrive?

Yeah that's what I thought as when I've googled chemical pregnancy it says you would bleed :/.. but AF is not here and I don't think she's making her way anytime soon!
I've got a bit of a back ache today and a few cramps/ weird twinges though x

About to get an appointment for today! But do you think the doctor will say to me I'm only 4 days late on so give it another week? Even though I know 100% I will not come on my period now for 3 months? I'm worried there going to turn me away?? I know my body and before they have sent me away and to wait 2 weeks and guess what I didn't come on by myself. It is every 3 months & when ttc there is no way I can wait 3 months for a period with no sure sign of ovulation either! :(

Oh good luck. Hopefully they won't make you keep waiting. Maybe if you explain it all to them, especially if they had said before they would try something else. Explain about the almost positive opk but no sign of af and negative tests (and the positives too)

That's the thing surly they can look at my notes and see I'm literally there every month about this and the man did say if the tablets work and then you still don't come on the following month to come back!! Arrghh trying not to stress but we shall see xxx

I have done there pregnancy test & it has come back still negative.. he said the positive was more than likely a evap line as the others would of shown it up by now and I did clear blue and he said the clear blue ones are basically the exact same to what they use at doctors.
My LH hormone I found out today was the high hormone that came back from my blood test.. is that bad or good?... he said it wasn't anything to worry about and was only a bit higher than the 'normal' level...
he has prescribed me more tablets I was on to help my period.. but for a longer course so I take one tablet 3 times a day and take it for 10 days then I will have a period.. then wait till I am meant to be due on again if nothing comes then take the second back of the tablets and then after both packs if I still don't come on o need to go back and he'll refer me to a gynocologist but he said they will only do the tests I've had done at doctors and could possible give me hormone treatment but he said if it was anything bad it would of shown up in my bloods & scan! Xxx

Hi. I'm glad you got on well and are feeling positive!
I'm thinking it good that your lh levels are high as that's the hormone that causes ovulation. Maybe it is generally high anyway and there's not a big enough difference in normal and peak if you know what I mean to trigger ovulation? And taking the tablets will suppress the lh for long enough so that when it does rise after it will be enough of a difference to trigger it?
Can you start taking them now then? You can get less sensitive ovulation tests if you have high levels of lh anyway so you are detecting am actual surge as opposed to a high Base level. Maybe it would be worth getting some and doing alongside the lower sensitivity ones and maybe doing twice a day say 3pm and 8-9pm to make sure you don't miss it? You can get them very cheaply on eBay.

Ohh okay! That's good then I guess it is high and not low if that's the hormone that controls ovulation! Yeah he said it wasn't extremely high but just a little higher than the average but nothin to worry about he said.. yes that's what I'm hoping for lol just last month I was concerned I didn't see the positive ovulation I saw two lines at all times don't get me wrong and one day was very close to a positive but maybe like you say I should look into getting them ones? As I just got some normal ones off amazon but maybe if I type in the low sensitivity ones I should find it? Ahh okay is that the best time to detect the surge would you say?..
yes I've got the tablets right now so I am going to start taking them now for 10 days as they worked last time ! And I'm sure there work this time but maybe I needed a longer dosage of them for it to help kick start my periods back into a better routine. Fingers crossed lol! Evening time is definitely the best time to do them. Normal ones are 20 so maybe look for ones with a 50 concentration? I would do both just to be sure though I'm a bit of a looney like that!! Lol
