Hi everyone I'm 16+1 and I constantly feel paranoid that something is wrong or I've had a missed miscarriage. There is no reason for me feeling this! I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms inthe beginning, I just felt tired but wasn't sick or anything. I didn't realise I was pregnant until I was 11 weeks (one of the lucky ones!!) I think because of this and the fact I didn't feel anything in the beginning, the fact I still don't feel pregnant worries me! Everything is fine and at our scan we were told we were very low risk etc everything was fine but I can't help but feel like a worry guts!!! Any recommendations for helping me stop stressing? Xx

Have you had a 16 week check-up with the midwife? I think its routine in most places and you usually get the midwife listening for the heartbeat with a doppler at this appointment which is reassuring when you get to hear the heartbeat. Alternatively you could buy a doppler but its difficult to know where to locate the heartbeat until the midwife has done it.

My midwife wouldn't use a Doppler on me till 21 weeks. I think it varies by trust.

Best thing I find is to reassure myself that most pregnancies are completely fine and tons of healthy babies get born every day x

I have been a wreck throughout this pregnancy but someone told me to look at a full football stadium every single person there is the result of a successful pregnancy. Helped me a little bit.

My 16 week check up is on Tuesday where they check for the heartbeat etc, I'm just a massive worry guts and won't even let my boyfriend get excited about buying stuff yet until we're at the halfway stage x

Hi I felt exactly the same as you and I am also 17 weeks along, I couldn't relax. I wasn't going to buy one myself but I ended up being given a Doppler, I was put off as it's not always a guarantee you will be able to hear the heartbeat as baby is small etc. However we did and it was the most reassuring thing, I actually felt more reassured than a scan. It's not what everyone would recommend but I could of written your post myself two weeks ago and now the thought of something going wrong isn't on my mind as much as it was. Everytime I get worried I can have a listen. As I said it's not right for everyone but it's the only thing that put my mind at rest xx
