For those who didn't gain much weight, how big was your baby?

now 34 weeks and I've gained 10 pound, which I'm thinking is quite good. I'm wondering if this is mainly baby. Just wondering what others were?

7.12 and 9.1. I put hardly anything on with either of them but hyperemesis will do that.

Size 8 and could still fit jeans on with bump over the top!
9-3 ds.

I gained about 15lbs with each pregnancy. Baby 1 was 8lbs 8oz, number 2 was 8lbs 5oz.

I put on a stone and a tiny 4pound premie...

PastysPrincess Thu 23-Mar-17 18:46:57

I lost 7 lbs and my son was 11lb 9oz.

TheWoollybacksWife Thu 23-Mar-17 18:47:27

With all three babies I was half a stone lighter than when I fell pregnant the day after delivery. They weighed me in hospital after my first (20+ years ago) and I weighed myself after the second two. They must have decided giving birth was bad enough without weighing a new mum.

6-9, 8-2 and 9-5. Vomited rings round myself for 20 weeks with all of them grin

8lb 11oz.

I don't actually know how much I weight in the end, but I think all the weight I had put on was baby weight, I managed to get back into my old jeans within weeks. I've put on weight since then though, too many sleepless nights and takeaways! :D

I didn't gain much - bit more with the second than the first. Maybe 1.5 stone max? Babies were not too heavy, one just under & the other just over 7lb. Now grown men both just under 6ft. One quite lean the other more chunky.

BertrandRussell Thu 23-Mar-17 18:49:13

I lost weight with both of mine. 9.9 and 10.6.

MrsBungle Thu 23-Mar-17 18:51:28

I was 2 stone lighter at the end of my pregnancy with dc1 (hyperemesis) and baby was 7lbs 9oz. I was 15lbs lighter again the day after giving birth so I'm guessing baby and associated stuff was about that!

witsender Thu 23-Mar-17 19:00:24

I barely put on with #2, DS was 9lb11oz.

ILikeSalmon Thu 23-Mar-17 19:26:09

8.12
9.03
Both bumps so small no one belived I was so pregnant

DuRezidal Thu 23-Mar-17 19:59:59

I gained less than a stone with my daughter and she was 5lb 14 and born at 37 weeks.

Blackfellpony Thu 23-Mar-17 20:06:00

I was tiny, DS was also tiny at 5lb! I measured 2 weeks behind at most checks.

I think it should have been picked up on but midwives weren't concerned at all through my pregnancy.

AyeAmarok Thu 23-Mar-17 20:08:24

Put on just over a stone at 42 weeks, baby was 6.14.

Every midwife commented that I was "all baby", and the amniotic fluid was on the low side of normal range so bump was neat. I was back to pre-pregnancy weight (8 stone) already when I weighed myself 3 days after delivery.

I kept waiting for the bit where the weight piled on in the last month because of the extra fat for breastfeeding, but it just never happened (almost feel robbed!). I did keep active though.

lljkk Thu 23-Mar-17 20:35:09

10 lbs isn't a good weight gain if you start out fairly slender.
fwiw, I'm not petite. I put on about 2 stone. Babies were 6.5-8.5 lbs. I was back in pre-pregnancy clothes within a few weeks. I don't see how I could have gained less than almost 30 lbs.

happy2bhomely Thu 23-Mar-17 20:48:25

I've never gained more than a stone with all 5 of mine.

They weighed 8lb13, 9lb7, 7lb15, 11lb and 7lb.

After dc2 I was back in size 10 jeans at 5 days. It just fell off me.

4 years after my youngest and I've put on nearly 3 stone! angry

Nospringflower Thu 23-Mar-17 20:50:51

Gained between 11 lb and a stone with each and babies were 71/2, 7 and 6'1.

SleepFreeZone Thu 23-Mar-17 20:52:33

I carried small and mine were 7lb 8 and 7lb 11

BounceBounceSplishSplash Thu 23-Mar-17 20:53:51

On the other hand, i put on shitloads (3 stone by 34 weeks) but baby was only 5lb 4oz.

pastabest Thu 23-Mar-17 21:00:31

I lost a stone during pregnancy, baby was 7lb 2,. I was the thinnest and lightest I had been for 10 years in the first few weeks after birth. quickly put it back on in jammy dodgers though

preciouspig Thu 23-Mar-17 21:41:57

I gained 8 pound baby weighed 6.2 x

sophie150 Fri 24-Mar-17 09:05:46

I gained 12 lbs . Baby 6 lb 4
Lost all 12 lb when gave birth. Put it all back on during mat leave - breastfeeding made me absolutely starving!

dodi1978 Fri 24-Mar-17 09:15:45

I only gained about 10 pounds in both my pregnancies. Not sure why given that I didn't do much vomiting and that I am a size 16!

First baby 6 pounds 6 ounces (slightly premature at 36 weeks), second baby 7 pounds 3 ounces (39 weeks).

Felt rather smug when I wore my old jeans for a midwife check up three days after birth grin].

Then came the chocolate brownies in maternity leave shock
