Hey just wondered whether you guys would do this? Have booked 2 days away at chessington for me hubby and D'S who is 2 for next week for hubby's 30th. When I booked back in January pregnancy was going forward to now am 32 weeks pregnant suffering from terrible sciatica and mild spd. Both flare up after busy days to the point o can barely walk. A friend has suggested hiring a mobility scooter to help get around the park but I feel uncomfortable doing this x

It is a lot of walking so it depends if you mind that you might have to sit in the cafe for long periods and not watch them on the rides...

I've never been there, but I have hired a scooter to get around a zoo and it was a god send. If it's embarrassment putting you off, I'd suggest you suck it up, birth will be far less dignified. If it's entitlement, don't worry about it. You have a condition which is temporarily (hopefully) disabling you. Do what you need to do to have a nice day.

Thanks. Definitely not embarrassment as it's my second and certainly know that by the end of birth dignity is non existent! Definitely the entitlement but you are right I am struggling and want to join in the fun. I feel I will be ok on day 1 but will struggle with day 2 so will definitely consider it. Thanks for your input!

Chessington is a lot of walking and very hilly in places but if you are staying in the resort you can at least break up the day a bit and rest when you need too. I also have SPD and also have days when my mobility is very restricted, I would definitely consider a mobility scooter if it was an option.

I'd hire one for the first day too, no point using up all your reserves on day 1. I don't think places ask for anything official re need/disability (although perhaps they might if you were a bunch of 16 year old rowdy lads).

Cremeeggaddict we are staying in resort which is good I can go for a nap leave the too it lol. Think I will see how it goes on the day. If I need to get one I will. No point struggling if I don't need too! Thanks guys x
