My lady bits hurt so much!

Just on for a bit of a moan/reassurance/sympathy!

I'm 28+3 with my second and my GOD my bits hurt. They feel so heavy and achy and are quite swollen. I've had a look and looks like I've got at least one really ugly varicose vein and I think another on the other side.

I work 3 full days a week and although I can rest when I need to I do have to spend a lot of the day on my feet, so by the end of the day I'm actually too uncomfortable to even stand up when I get home. I've got a 2.5yo DD too who I spend the majority of my time running after and carrying.

The other thing is I contracted herpes (type 2 I think) many years ago before I met DH and other than the initial outbreak didn't suffer at all with them until I became pregnant with DD. I was utterly miserable with them by end of pregnancy and had to be on antibiotics constantly to keep them at bay. Haven't had any outbreak at all since having DD but thinking this might be them rearing their ugly head and adding to the discomfort. No blisters yet bit a lot of paper cut like marks Sad

Baby is measuring big and I'm really quite short so not sure if that's adding to it all too.

Anyway, thanks for reading my moans! Not something I can freely talk about IRL (although DH is very sympathetic). Currently soaking in a hot bath and dreading getting out.

Just wanted to send you lots of sympathy! Pregnancy is such a b*%~h for sending all the worst possible, humiliating, symptoms!!

Both my mum and my sister had varicose veins in their vulva, which went away after the baby was delivered. I haven't had that, but have struggled with haemorrhoids. I also have varicose veins in my legs which i had treatment for a few years ago. Im sure wearing compression stockings now will help your veins in your lady bits. Definitely worth a try! When do you have to work till? Can you ask to have your daily job modified so that you're sitting more? (I know that is probably very unlikely!). Look after yourself and good luck!

I've got a HUGE varicose vein in my lady bits, it stings at times and is pretty much always aching so I feel your pain!

This isnt very glamorous but I've found rolling up an old flannel into a sausage and laying it between two pairs of pants takes some of the pressure off and provides some support. It's like wearing the bulkiest sanitary towel in the world and I do worry I look like I have a man bulge but it makes a huge difference!!!
