Hi all,
I'm 19 years old pregnant with my 2nd child. I had my 12 week scan baby was absolutely perfect I couldn't believe my eyes!
Had my blood test & it come back high risk that I had a 1 in 32 chance of having a baby with downs!
Now i was so shocked I cried and cried! I'm so young! :'( and I have a child of 18 months old! Things were running trough my mind.. will I cope & what am I going to do....
I got offered test such as a amino test. (Witch I have booked for this month)
I need to know as I'm so young!
I'm scared of the outcome..
I have low PAPP-A also witch I had with my 1st son & it was like 1 in 4000 of him having downs! So something has come back in my blood as fluid on back on baby's neck was normal
As anyone had amniocentesis test?
Ladies I'm scared.. & need advice!
Thank you xxx

I was 1in5, i was advised to have the amnio however i was also bleeding at the time and didn't want any further added risks.
The results where based off my bloods, Low PAPPA- A high HCG. My san was within normal parameters (cant remember what )

We decided to pay private for the Harmony test which then came back as 1:10.000

I was like you, absolutely petrified. The stress was unbearable

Its was the best £400 i spent for that peace of mind.

You have a 31 in 32 chance that baby wont have downs if you look at it that way round.
And if it does imo it is not the end of the world. Though i know some would not agree.
I had a 1 in 4 chance of my dd having autism but she is perfectly fine so my advice is try not to worry (ha ha i know ) .
I hope it all works out for you x
