I will start by saying I know I am extremely lucky be expecting a healthy (so far as can be told) baby and I wouldn't swap it for the world. That said - bloody hell. I'm 39 weeks today, I have an arse under my ribcage so I can't breathe, a head trying to drill out of my pelvis, shocking heartburn, and with a leg still in a boot from being broken there is no comfortable position in the world. I'm shattered and weepy and want this baby out now please! Anyone else?

Me please! 38+2. ELCS booked for Monday.

These are things I can't do
Sleep
Walk very far
Pick anything up
Stop eating
Be bothered with anything (mainly making a world book day fox ears and tail)
Stop weeing
Have a poo
Make any decisions
Sort out my bikini line
Get rid of piles or thrush making any examinations/catheter fitting that will be going on next week painful and mortifying
Clean the house
Be nice to anyone

I also have the bum under ribs thing. I am pretty much done with this now. Come along baby, get a move on! Sending you a hunger games type solidarity salute...

I don't feel quite as bad as you seem to be but knackered, uncomfortable and baby head butting my bladder/pelvis is sore!

Can I join in? 38weeks and beyond fed up!

  • My pelvis is killing me (been seeing the physio from pretty much the beginning)
  • Baby is a complete wriggler and because I'm really small (consultant referred to my bump as compact!) all his movements are extremely painful
  • I'm still trying to shift a cough so my stomach muscles (totally forgot I had any!) and under my bump are sore! Plus I have the joys of having to cross my legs with every cough to try support my pelvis and also stop wetting myself
  • I'm not sleeping at night due to being so uncomfortable and having to constantly turn/move
  • I have absolutely no patience!
  • I want to murder DH just because
  • I'm really struggling with the school runs and running about after DS while DD is at school. Having 2dc is exhausting!

Oh also fed up with the constant housework/washing etc as it appears my cleaning fairies (my dh seems to think they do all the chores) have buggered off and left me Grin

I finally packed my bags for hospital and the kids (after a lecture from the midwife who thinks I'm going to go early. LIAR)

Still have to get all the baby stuff (crib, moses basket, car seat etc) from my mums (so far I've only sorted baby clothes!) but I just can't find any motivation!

I would really like this baby out soon!!

Oh feeling so much better now!! Grin

Laura05 your husband needs a poker up his arse! Why can't he pick up the baby stuff on the way home from work, or even put a bloody wash on?!

I'm only 34 weeks but unfortunately I've already hit the point of not being able to walk v far or go anywhere by myself due to PGP.

I'm not sure what is under my ribs today, I think it's a knee but either way it hasn't made it easy to concentrate at work today.

I'm 38 weeks and if I go overdue I really think I will die. I'm not being dramatic or anything!
Everything hurts. My poor bladder is getting continually trampled, this baby barely stops.
I've had enough, he has to come out now!

38 + 4 and ready to give birth now. Haven't managed a full nights sleep for the last two nights, went back to bed this morning crying at 9am this morning because reasons.
Feel like I keep having random contractions that stop me in my tracks but that don't go anywhere. Have a scan with a consultant tomorrow as baby measured big and then small at the last two scans so I'm hoping something will be done. Consultants have to this point however been useless so I'm not holding my breath 😔

36 weeks tomorrow. Dc3. So fucking done.

I'm starting to think/hope/kid myself she might be early. Lots of period type pains, lots of lower back pain that isn't backache, heavy feeling in my bum like I need a poo, BHs three or four times a day. She just needs to stay in one more week and then she's good to go. I can't take this feeling anymore - completely on edge. I can't relax at all.

Or. I could be like this until 42 weeks. cries dramatically.

Dc1, 4, was 42 weeks. Dc2, who is 2 tomorrow, was 38 weeks. It's such a mug's game to hope for early but you just can't help it, can you?

MrPoppers, I've been telling myself I may have a good three weeks yet if I go over (though I really hope not 😂)!! I'm trying to balance against DH who is convinced it'll be early.
Not long now m'dear, at least 🙂
Sorry to hear you are suffering so early JonSnow, that's awful. I think I've been fairly lucky in that everything has hit me in the last few days, so I'm mostly ranting as it's a bit of a shock to the system maybe!

Lottie I'm seriously dreading how I'm going to feel when I get to your stage, it actually scares me haha!

I've been to Tesco & Poundland today & am currently in bed with legs clamped together waiting for my pain killers to kick in so my pelvis stops feeling like it's going to drop out of the baby's exit hole Shock

I'm only 35 +3 but being induced at 38+1. Only 19 days to go till something happens (even if it's 3 days in hospital ending with a c section!).
I've had hyperemesis throughout - worst at night so now I'm on mat leave and can sleep my body just refuses.
I've also GD so can't even drown myself in chocolate. Lunch was salad veg with cheese and salad cream. Rock on!
I've had constipation throughout too- but past few days my bowel has thankfully let go and I'm pooping 3+ times a day. It's bliss!

36+2 here (the 2 days make all the difference right!) and really struggling being a human! Pretty much the same moans as everyone else, heartburn, tiredness, bleeding piles Blush, PGP, no sleep, can't walk anywhere, lively toddler to entertain! To top it off I have arthritis in my spine which is flaring so also on crutches (sob). Consultant says sweeps starting at 37 weeks to try and bring on natural labour, if not induction at 40 weeks. Any tips appreciated - need baby out before 40 weeks ideally Smile

Me! 39+2 and don't remember feeling this full up with my first. I can hardly bend over at all, tired, drained and starting to feel a bit emotionally unstable too, I'm craving crawling under my duvet and just staying there until baby arrives! Not gonna happen.

Oh how I needed this thread! I am 39 weeks today too. Just had my second sweep but I don't think consultant or I really expect baby to move. Been consistently over 90th centile too so starting to panic over how i am going to it out! Booked in for induction on 13th but I honestly do not know how on earth I can take another 2 weeks of this 😩😩😩

ouchbollocks he's needing more than a poker up his arse haha!

He does try, bless him, but sometimes it's like having 3 kids! He's off the rest of the week (claims he took holidays as he sensed I was getting stressed out (no shit sherlock!) and thought he'd give me a hand getting final things organised for baby coming) I'm waiting to find out the real reason he's taken holidays Hmm

First baby, was signed off work for sciatica as on crutches and literally couldn't walk for 8 weeks. Now I've got bloody pgp. It's one thing after another!

I'm 36+5 and want this baby out of me.

Haven't seen my fanny in forever. Haven't shaved it so I'm pretty sure it's bordering on forest territory.

Pelvis pain is unbearable so I'm literally walking and waddling like an idiot. Can't sleep as can't turn over because of it.

Oh and I have reflux.

I've told my husband, I'm never getting pregnant again. His penis is staying well clear of me.

Ooh, I am so pleased this is here! I'm 39+4 and am so frikkin fed up. Probably not safe to drive on account of the road rage, though it takes me hours to walk anywhere because of stupid pgp so only really old people are at risk of actually feeling my wrath.

My list of wrongness:
Have had insomnia over the last 4 months,

GDM since week 11 and injecting insulin so no chocolate or pies for me,

Drooling like a drooly dog when I do sleep

Can't bend or breathe properly

Weeing every 10 mins

Braxton hicks about a million times an hour in the evening

caught a glimpse of the lady garden in the mirror and the baby will need a lady shave to find his way out

Appointment with the consultant at 40 +4. So far I've not been keen on induction but I can feel my resolve weakening as the days go on. I reckon I'll be up for any intervention in a week if he hasn't arrived. The reflexologist is coming tomorrow - all toes crossed that it gets things moving.

Good luck ladies! It will come to an end!
