Tips on lowering blood pressure

Hi,

I am currently having my blood pressure monitored as I have developed high blood pressure during pregnancy. I've looked online on how to lower blood pressure but all I can find is I should lose weight, eat healthier, stop drinking caffeine and alcohol, stop smoking and become more active. I'm a size 8, I eat healthy, I have stopped drinking caffeine and alcohol, I've never smoked and I lead a reasonably active lifestyle (I walk everywhere).

Has anyone on here found ways to lower their blood pressure? I've just started yoga as I thought maybe I need get some relaxation into my life. Any other ideas are greatly welcome as I would really like to give birth on the midewife led unit but they won't take me if my blood pressure remains high.

Thank you xx

Walk as much as possible. Apparently drinking grapefruit juice. Cut salt. Not sure what else as it sounds like you are already doing what you should.

Cut salt! Thank you, I always cook with it so I'll cut that out ☺

Swimming regularly is quite good.

Yes cut out salt. Hypnotherapy was very successful at helping me to lower my bp. Beetroot juice has been found to be effective too.
