Evening!

Any recommendations on which wear & wash well? Should I go with M&S/John Lewis/Next etc or are supermarket ones fine for basics?

Thanks Smile

Supermarkets are fine. Babies grow out of their clothes so quick, there is no advantage in spending more.

Yes supermarket ones are fine, I find Sainsbury's ones particularly good quality and are very good value on 25% off days.

I liked the bright/patterned ones - in warmer weather they can wear them as t-shirts as well.

H&m do reasonably priced ones that are available single rather than in multipacks and often are quite 'funky'

Once they get bigger, next ones wash and wear well and they've lasted my ds's x 2

Sainsbury's and Asda definitely for vests. For bodysuits if I'm feeling flush I like m&s and Mothercare for quality and also they seem a bit bigger. Boots are always the ones my son grows out of first.

To be honest I did find that the John Lewis, Boden, Next etc ones were far nicer quality, however, they all shrank the same as the supermarket ones (My DD was born in the winter so everything was tumble dried those first few months)!! I also in the end found that I would rather buy cheaper ones I could replace regularly so they always looked super white and fresh, although from what I remember John Lewis did a basics range that was similarly priced to the supermarket ones but far nicer/thicker fabric. IMO there is nothing more gorgeous then a newborn in a pure white sleepsuit!!

Supermarkets and other cheap ones. Lots of them.

Then you don't feel bad for chucking the odd one away when the nappy leeks poop all over it!

Thanks! I'll head to the supermarkets but & check out the JL basic prices too.

I've already brought a few printed/patterns sleepsuits from M&S, Next & Mothercare but thought that some plain white would be lovely too x
