Thrush in early pregnancy

I am currently 5 weeks pregnant, after having a MC at 7 weeks in December. I've got mild thrush at the moment and was prescribed canesten internal and external creams. I've had mixed messages about using the applicator, but I don't know how else to get the internal cream inside without it. Any ideas?! Or whether to use the applicator but only half way? I don't want to do anything to risk harming his pregnancy and am really fretting!!

Hey, definitely do not fret! I've been battling thrush this pregnancy all the way along from early days Angry. Some advise not to use the applicator all the way in as the cream/pessary could irritate the cervix. But it doesn't mean it poses risk of MC other wise they definitely wouldn't prescribe it.

I use the applicator fairly "comprehensively" IFYWSIM but just not all the way up!

So sorry to hear of your previous MC (my first pregnancy ended in MC so I completely understand why you are acutely aware of anything that might get in the way of things). I'm wishing you a healthy and happy gestation with this little bean Flowers

(Oh and a thrush free pregnancy from here on in!)

Thank you so much for your reply! I am racking my brains to think how else I could get it in there! I'll be careful and go half way with it.
It's so hard this time round cause I'm aware of every little cramp and twinge and so scared it's going to end in bad news! Thrush is just getting in the way now haha!

Thank you so much! Here's to healthy and happy pregnancies and beautiful babies!
