I am 7+6 and exactly the same.
Really hate burping (I would rather hear and smell farts).
I'm trying to be discreet but not always possible.
Please post if you find a miracle solution! Blush

Yup! Until about 16w I spent every evening sounding like a teenage boy after necking his first ever cheap fizzy beer. It started around 7.30pm and got worse and worse until I went to sleep. DH found it hilarious...

Things that helped me:

  • have a Rennie's 20 mins before you eat anything more sizeable than a cracker
  • eat little and often
  • find your triggers. I had to stop eating bread, which I normally love
  • if I had to be somewhere where I needed to sound normal, I'd have one of these (which pharmacist and doc assured me were safe in pg) www.boots.com/windsetlers-24-gel-caps-10086144

I'm now 25w and still burp in the evenings, but not nearly as much. But now baby is in my stomach (it feels like), so when I do burp it can be accompanied by reflux.

i had the exact same between 6/7 weeks and 13/14 weeks. for me actually, air came out both ways and i teach in university, so for two months i lived in fear Grin
now i'm almost 17 weeks and the other day was just telling DP "do you remember how i used to burp?" - so it does go away :)

Glad its not just me. Ive tried eating different things (although limited due to food aversions) and sipping drinks but no change....my OH thinks its hilarious but its quite annoying (and makes me feel a bit more sick after a while) hopefully something else that will bugger off in the second trimester!!

20 weeks here and still constantly burping! So embarrassing but I've got used to the delights of it now.

It doesn't matter what I eat or drink, how fast or slow I am or how long I wait- I will always burp multiple times after eating, drinking or even brushing my teeth! Blush
